I must always be supportive, engaged, and provide a safe and open environment. The most important role I have is making sure the classroom is safe, provides ample space, and promotes learning. Once I have an environment that is setup for success, then I can focus on my interactions with each child. I want to support each child in each area of their development so they feel safe and comfortable while they are exploring and experiencing new things. I also want to be there to support them emotionally.

When our responsibilities are clearly defined in the job description, during induction process and in instructions and guidelines, it ensures clear understanding and co-operation, effective working relationships, positive psychological environment and smooth running of all aspects of teaching/learning process.

A driving objective for a teacher is to affect students to advance their expertise in education by finding them the correct course. The teacher should promote positive motivation and inspiration by adhering to legislation and codes of practice which will increase every student’s focus in developing and bridging gaps to display eagerness towards a healthy broad mindset, creative thinking and brighter approach. A mentor should coordinate assessments which will reinforce the ability to perceive individuals’ abilities and knowledge progressions and moreover support them further to boost their learning capacity to acquire a well-established national standards skill set.

Once have identified the students needs and have planned and designed the course I can then deliver or facilitate the learning. I can use different styles and activities to keep the students interested. I can invite comments and discussions to enhance their learning. After the lesson, both students provided a deeper, and more explicit definition of “responsibility”. Their examples and non-examples of the concept, as well as the concept map include some ideas from the previous assessment, but generally these pieces of the assessment show a great variety of mature ideas. Both students also confidently pointed to almost the end part of their concept lines, indicating that they have gained more understanding of the concept of “responsibility”, which was clearly observable in students’ responses during discussions and the post interviews.
