During this semester, I learn lots of different ideas from different philosophers. I can get more knowledge and inspiration from the philosopher and I can think the question clearly in ways. However, the Confucius brings me a big influence and it is a very interesting because there are lots of ideas and concepts in a book called The Analects. In this paper, I will examine Confucius. Confucius is one of the most famous philosophers in China and he is a venerable teacher in the ancient China. The main concept of Confucius’ “Ren”. In Chinese, “Ren” means humanity and it is the principle of the moral. For people, humanity is a quality of human being. In another word, humanity is a part of a person 's character and it represents the real nature of Also, “Ren” gives me some inspiration to help me to think about which kind of person I want to be. Learning in different ways, doing the right things in the appropriate position, treatment among people and the human’s nature are four things that I can learn from Confucius.
One thing that I can learn from The Analects is a way of learning. Learning is an important process to help people to become mature because people’s brain can store more knowledge and people can apply their knowledge in the special circumstance. In chapter seven of The Analects, the Master said that one can become my teacher when I walk with two people. I will select their good qualities and follow them, and avoid their bad qualities. Both St. Augustine’s Confessions and Confucius’s Analects are influential teachings that have a vast influence on people around the world in the ancient time and currently. Both doctrines discuss ethical values of society back during the time they were written and leads us to find some similarities between the two. There are substantial distinctions between Confucius and St. Augustine’s experiences and beliefs since they are living in different environments and time periods. For example, the Analects of government, sage, virtue, and manners give a sense of teachings and positive philosophies to follow in order to become a good ruler and obtaining and giving respect. While the Classics and ideals of popper conduct, political peace, moral power, love and ideal humanity help to reinforce the Analects by giving an ideology of a humanism. As Confucian gives words of wisdom of establish a community who should act only when necessary, use knowledge for the benefit of all, and to live in peace in order to developed a stronger culture. Confucius gives the Chinese people a focus on the cultivation of virtue and maintenance of ethics, creating a community of righteousness and moral disposition to do good and how one should act in a community. Confucius created the doctrine that 300 years after his death became a permanent impulse of social life in China, established rules of behaviour not only in the state, but also the family as a social unit.1
One of the oldest philosophies in Chinese history is Confucianism. At the time of the warring states, Confucius wandered throughout China seeking a ruler who accepted the Confucian way. Since then, his ideas grew and are still relevant today. Throughout time other philosophers, Mengzi and Xunzi, have interpreted Confucius’ teachings and have long debated whether human nature is good or bad. I argue that human nature is not, as Mengzi believes, inherently good, instead, completely self-interested.
Confucius is one of the first Chinese thinkers who addressed the conflict of political and social order. he was a strong willed man who often did not get along with others. He never realized his ambition to become a powerful minister. Confucius attracted numerous disciples who aspired to political careers. His thought was fundamentally moral, ethical, and political in character. He had his disciples study works of poetry and history made during the Zhou dynasty. He examined the book of Songs, book of History, the Book of Rites, and other works with his students. Literary works of the Zhou dynasty became the core texts of the traditional Chinese education because of Confucius’s influence. There were specific Confucian values indluding ren, li, and xiao. Confucius’s counsel and guidance recorded in The Analects instilled wisdom when they were first recorded and continue to provide a thought provoking analysis of life and the checkpoints that guide it. The Master’s commentary on restraint, diligence, decency, and citizenship are well intended and relevant. Politics and the role of government also come under scrutiny as Confucius offers his insights in bettering the organization of power. His proverb-like admonitions use clear examples of everyday life allowing them to be understood and easily digested. Confucius’s own eagerness and willingness to share goodness he experienced makes it easier to apply and practice in one’s own life.
Philosophers began to flourish in China as education and literacy spread. Three of the greatest philosophers to emerge during this era were Confucius, Mencius, and Hsun-Tzu. Incidentally, Confucius thought of himself as a transmitter of old culture and not the creator of a new one. He appreciated the futility of speaking higher things to those who were below him. As a result, he was fond of consulting with his students as his peers despite his immense knowledge. Mencius and Hsun-Tzu borrowed heavily from his teachings. Expectedly, they had much in common concerning the teachings of Confucius. On the other hand, they disagreed on a number of fundamental teachings. This paper compares and contrasts the two philosophers’ approaches to Confucianism. In essence, the two philosophers disagree on human nature while they agree with the assertion that all human beings are capable of becoming sages.
Availability and understanding of available information by an individual was taken as a very important treasure. The issues that Confucius taught to be followed were not entirely scientific learning but rather the study of the consecrated contents and the tenets of good worth and propriety (Oliver, 1985). An additional element which he held high was the control of proper example. The heroes, heroines and great people that existed were greatly exemplified by Confucius. Confucianism is regarded as one of the primary religions that have profoundly influenced Chinese beliefs and ideologies. While Kongzi, or Confucius, is the founder of Confucianism, he is not the only philosopher who has contributed to such a significant impact on China. Similarly, the Analects of Confucius is not the single text that represents Confucianism. In fact, during different time periods throughout the history, there are a number of eminent representatives of Confucian thoughts, such as Mengzi and Xunzi. Confucius, who lived from 551-479 BCE, was a Chinese philosopher, teacher, and politician. Confucius had written a set of books or ideas and concepts called The Analects. These were different collections of sayings that Confucius had written to reflect his ideas about different things like politics, family, morality, and many more. Confucius is also the creator of the commonly used “Golden Rule” of “do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.” Through his teachings, books, and his followers, the philosophy of Confucianism was created. In Doctrine of the Mean, Confucius explains how to perfect oneself and how to become a morally righteous person. He explains how one must maintain a balance into a constant state of equilibrium.

Confucius created a system of thinking called Confucianism. If only one word could be used to summarize the Chinese way of life for the last two thousand years, that word would be Confucian. No other person has had as great an effect on the life and thought of the Chinese people as Confucius. He is the most adored person in Chinese history.
