Chapter 3, Problem 25P
Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation

To find out how many different elements are listed in Chemistry For Changing Times (14th Edition), Chapter 3, Problem 25P

Concept introduction:

Atomic mass or mass number or nucleon number represents the total number of neutrons and protons present in the nucleus of an atom. The atomic mass of an element is different for each different isotope of the element. Also, the difference in the atomic mass and the atomic number is gives the number of neutrons present in the nucleus. The number of protons present in the nucleus of the atom is known as the atomic number; it is equal to number of electrons present in a unionized, neutral atom. The atomic number recognizes the particular element except the isotope. The elements are arranged as per their atomic number in the periodic table.
