Chapter 10, Problem 8ICA
Write the output value that would appear in a cell if the equation were executed in Excel. You should answer these questions WITHOUT actually using Excel, as practice for the exam. If the cell will appear blank, write “BLANK” in the space provided.
= IF(OR(C1 > D3, D3 < E1), “YES”, “NO”) | Output
(a) | C1 = 10 E1 = –5 D3 = 0.1*C1^(– 5*E1)
(b) | C1 = 10 E1 = 5 D3 = 0.1*C1^(–5*E1)
= IF(AND(G4/H3 > 2, H3 > 3), G4, MAX(2, G4, H3, 5*J2-10)) | Output
(c) | G4 = 30 H3 = 5 J2 = 2 | |
(d) | G4 = 10 H3 = 8 J2 = 10 |

Posted below is a picture of a data table and a diagram of an experiment. In the experiment you rolled a marble down a ruler ramp off the end of a coffee table to observe projectiles and conservation of energy. You do 3 trials for each initial height. Each height is measured in meters.
h= initial height of marble off of table
Y= height of table off floor
X= horizontal distance marble goes from edge of table to where it strikes the floor
a) use the table to find information you need to solve for theoretical range and % of error in measured range.

Please solve question 16-109 below this in the
follwoing way:
• Please include a kinamatic diagram (one for
velocity and one for acceleration).
• Please DO NOT solve this using velocity
analysis (cartesian vector analysis). I would
like it to be solved using scalar method. We
dont use 3D in this course. We only use scalar
analysis for the relative velocity equation
(writing the x and y components of the
equation and solving the equations for the
unknowns). I have attached a sample question
with solution in order to get an idea on how to
use the scalar method to solve my question. I
would like question 16-109 to be solved in a
similar way. Thank you for your
understanding.
If you can solve it as soon as possible that
would be great and I will give you a thumps up
and positive feedback :)

In U.S. customary units it is calculated by: BMI = 703" %D where W is the person's weight in pounds and h is the heights in inches. Write a MATLAB program in a script file that calculates the BMI. For input the program asks the user to enter his/her weight and height. The pro- gram then calculates the BMI rounded to the nearest tenth.
