Sain's Role In Effective Communication

Schools employ and have teaching assistants, to again, create the best possible learning environment for the pupils. As a teaching assistant I will work as part of a team working to make the pupils learning journey, a successful one. I will attend staff meetings and continue to develop my skills through in-house training and other relevant courses. I will maintain and contribute to school policies and procedures, and work in partnership with parents and carers on behalf of the school.

A teaching assistant plays an important role for the standards of behaviour expected in the classroom.

My role as a teaching assistant is to take on tasks such as preparing the classroom for lessons and clearing up afterwards, which allow the teacher to concentrate on teaching. To support pupils with particular individual needs, sometimes my role is to work one to one, while others work in small groups or work with one of these groups. The teacher is not able to give every pupil individual attention, assistants provide essential support to the pupils and the lead teacher. My responsibilities also include:

A teaching assistant will be able to deal with many situations where a pupil requires a reprimand or sanction of some description for their actions and behaviour. For example, minor conflicts between pupils, not listening to instructions, talking in class or poor manners.

The key aspects of the role of a teaching assistant are to help raise educational standards in the classroom by providing support for the pupils, the teacher and the school. They must also promote a quality learning environment and contribute to making a positive, quality and effective classroom environment. Which in turn shall maximise learning, minimise behavioural problems and help to create a safe and positive environment.

The class teachers’ main role is to monitor and assess pupils’ achievement. They need to be aware of the progression made by all the children in their class and be able to report back to both the parents and other staff. As a Teaching assistant my main role is to support the class teacher whilst this ongoing assessment of pupils takes place. The teacher can measure the progress of each pupil by carrying out lessons and setting the children clear objectives. At the start of each lesson so that the children are clear about the objectives the class teacher writes

There is a lot of Disrespect in Carolina High. Both from students and teachers. Sometimes it weighs down on them from their personal life, sometimes it’s because of the way they were raised, trying to fit in, feeling defensive, or even provoking a fight. This can cause violence, teacher parent conflict, and bullying. All of which can lead to suicide, depression, and anxiety.It can affect the students’ education and social ability.

As teachers, we are familiar with the policies and procedures necessary to discipline students, as a result; I am confident that I will have the ability to discipline appropriately and at the same time counsel students into being better than the way they came. After talking to an Assistant Principal at my school this year, he advised me to always follow the student handbook when disciplining students. The student handout lists numerous offenses and consequences students will receive if they misbehave. Therefore, discipline students effectively and consistently is a strength that I will possess when entering the position as an Assistant Principal because I have done it so well in my classroom. Supervising teachers and departments assigned would be a walk in the park for me because I am a people person and building relationships, in this case, would be vital in order to ensure people respect and trust the leader. Therefore, it would be my ultimate responsibility to build relationships while also guiding teachers in the right direction to success. Finally, keeping records is a responsibility that I am skilled because I am very organized. Every year I keep records of students behavior, assignments, tests, and communication logs when parents

Natural speech is currently not function for S.S.’s communication. S.S.’s lack of social speech as well as poor intelligibility make it difficult for S.S. to communicate. S.S. has limited vocalizations and when she does vocalize, it is very difficult to understand. With her natural speech, S.S. cannot effectively say what she wants to say. S.S. has been in speech therapy to date since she was 12 months old. Speech therapy has been unsuccessful as no progresses has been made to her speech however moderate improvements were made to her langue and cognition. S.S. cannot meet daily communication needs using natural modes of communication.

In the role of assistant principal, I would strive to build relationships with all stakeholders (students, parents, staff, board of education, and community). In order to build relationships with students, I would have a presence in the school. Welcome students as they come in the school, have conversations with students in the hall and cafeteria, be present at school functions and athletics. Building relations with students is much more than a discipline meeting. Being present at activities and athletics is a great way to engage both parents and the larger community. When discipline meetings do occur, I would reach out to the parents to include them in the conversation.

The principal should be the keeper of the schools good will and represent the school vision, so that the staff believes they are all in this together. The

Administrators are not only responsible for supervising teachers but also accountable for helping teachers improve on their craft. Like professional development, supervision should also be differentiated. No two teaches are alike

One of the perks of working in a public school system is changing grade levels. My first year teaching at my school I taught the tenth grade. I have since then moved to teaching the twelfth grade. Many things have changed since my first year. One thing that did not change is my favorite disruptive student. When I looked at my roster for the year, I saw Student X in my class of 30 students. In the tenth grade, this students was loud and always talking at the wrong times. He would argue with students and attempt to argue with me. He would not complete assignments unless it was in season for the sport he plays. Since the tenth grade and a new district technology policy, Student X has gotten worse. In addition to his previous behaviors, Student X is contantly on his phone and uses that to distract others. Many students become annoyed by his behavior and try to get him to stop being a distraction. This usually results in an shouting match. Student X becomes defensive and will use profanity to insult students and further disrupt the class. At this point, Student X is usually dismissed from the class and is sent to his Assistant Principal’s office. The other students cheer and get back to work, and Student X misses out on more valuable instructional time. Even though he is graduating soon, it is important that Student X learns how to act in a classroom setting. Creating a problem solving method is important to dealing with this student and students like him in the future.
