Confucius (551-479) also known as Kongzi (孔子 Kǒng Zǐ, literally "Master Kong") was a Chinese teacher, philosopher, editor, and politician in the Chinese history and his was highly influenced Eastern thought and culture. He was born on 551 BC in the place Zou, Lu state (near today’s Qufu, Shandong Province). His father Kong He was a minor official, in the Lu military. When his is three years old, his father Kong He is died. Confucius was grows up in a poor family and foster by his mother Yan Zhengzai. His was studied and learned the Six Arts (rites, music, archery, chariot driving, calligraphy and mathematics) at schools for commoners. For example, he gave his student a hint, emphasis their request, in the most natural atmosphere, in which the teacher and student open their hearts and communicate with each other In other words, Confucius illustrate the way to care for others: he embraces his student through a friendly dialogue and interaction with them. In early childhood education, when the teacher have good relationship with the child the child can more easily to followed the teacher and more likely to learn. His was also used asked and answer teaching model as a teaching method. He was good at asking questions to motivate students' thinking. Teamwork also used by Confucius as a teaching method. He encouraged his students to discuss and cooperate, help improve each other. Child is more likely to involve in answering the question from teacher and engage in teamwork play and learn with friend, so that asking question and teamwork can be effective in the early childhood education. Furthermore, Confucius also used various subject as teaching method. Confucius was inculcation of skills, culture and abilities or equally concerned with the intellectual development of his students. In order to implant the moral values in to the students, the basics of an around culture and the ability to take responsibilities; Confucius was careful on selection and flexible application of the teaching materials. Confucius makes up and edited his teaching materials based on the traditional six classics: 《诗经》Classic of Poetry, 《书经》Classic of history, 《易经》Classic of Changes, 《礼记》Classic of Rites, 《春秋》The Spring and Autumn Annals.
