Concept explainers
Explain all answers clearly, with complete sentences and proper essay structure if needed. An asterisk (*) designates a quantitative problem, for which you should show all your work.
Enrichment of Star Clusters. The gravitational pull of an isolated globular cluster is rather weak—a single supernova can blow all the interstellar gas out of a globular cluster. How might this fact be related to observations indicating that stars ceased to form in globular clusters long ago? How might it be related to the fact that globular clusters are deficient in elements heavier than hydrogen and helium? Summarize your answers in one or two paragraphs.

- Use a sketch, an equation in addition to your precise and concise description. Please give a very detailed answer. 1) Discuss the process of spontaneous parametric down-conversion.arrow_forwardWrite the detailed solution (Given, Unknown, Formula, Step-by-Step Solution). Box your final answer. Please make sure that your handwritten is readable. Thank you.arrow_forwardRead all the instructions carefully then answer. Kindly give me a detailed answer in a clear handwriting of the subparts ,e,f and g by mentioning the subpart's name. It is one whole question. All the subparts are related. Take your time solving this. I am attaching the full question but I only need e,f and g (in details). All the questions are related. This is my fourth time uploading these questions as I got wrong answers previously. So kindly answer this one by following the given instructions. I am strictly forbading to give the answers of subpart a and b. This is my fourth time uploading this question and everytime you are giving me answers of a,b and c. I will upvote if the answer is correct. Thank you.arrow_forward
- Write solution detailed solution (Given, Unknown, Formula, Step-by-Step Solution). Box your final answer. Please make sure that your handwritten is readable. Thank you.arrow_forwardShow your complete solution and box the final answer. Please write your solution clearly and readable. Thank you.arrow_forwardWrite a CR for the solved problem. A example of one is attached as well. The problem about the ROCK is the example CR. The problem you ARE writing a CR for is 5x^2-8x=3. Instructions below. For the CR's, claim you should answer the question of , do you get 2 real solutions, 1 real solution, or 2 complex solutions? For your reasoning you should explain how you know. Use the example attached to help you answer. hints: that plus minus sign means there are two answers. If the number under the square root is positive, you have two real solutions. If the number is negative you have two complex solutions. If the number is 0 under the square root you have 1 real number solution.arrow_forward
- Millikan Oil Drop Lab 5. Use the zoomed in image to measure the radius of the droplet. Take note that the units on the scale are in nanometers (nm), 1 nm = 10-9 m. Record the droplet radius and the 'AV between plates' values in Data Table 1 below. You are viewing the drop that is in Equilibrium 6. Repeat this process for ten (10) more droplets that are at rest. It is Measure the radius of the drop recommended that this table be recreated in a spreadsheet utility like MS Excel or Google Sheets. The oil density is 900 kg/m^3 Data Table 1. A certain radio-isotope emits ONE alpha particle, and its products then emit TWO beta-minus particles in succession. The atomic number of the final resulting nucleus will now change (as compared to your starting nucleus) by A. zero B. minus 1 C. minus 2 D. minus 3arrow_forwardAstronomy question: Answer correctly and read the questions corretly, this is all one quesiton if done correclty and organized I will write a very nice review about you! 1. How did Edwin Hubble measure the distance to the Andromeda Galaxy? He deduced it from its redshift. He measured its parallax. He used Cepheid variables in the Andromeda Galaxy. He used white dwarf supernovae in the Andromeda Galaxy.arrow_forward
