The source of energy used by gray whales during their stay in Mexican waters.

Introduction:

Gray whales are classified as a type of baleen whale as they filter their food from water via special kind of bristly structures present in their mouth. They mostly stay close to the shore as they feed in the shallow water. In summers, the gray whales live-off the coast of Alaska and in winters they migrate to Mexican waters. During their stay in Mexican waters, they consume very little or sometimes no food.

The American alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) that survived the initial spill were found to have high concentrations of DDE in their tissues. Decades later, the alligators in the lake still have DDE in their tissues and their populations do not seem to have recovered to pre-spill conditions. Many juvenile male alligators have low levels of testosterone. How would low levels of testosterone affect the American alligator population?
Describe a two-year cycle in the life of an adult female gray whale by answering the specific questions below.        Where do they mate and give birth?       How often do they give birth?       Where do they spend the non-breeding season? (Note this is also where they eat because they don’t typically feed during migration or on their breeding waters.)       When do they migrate south along the Oregon Coast?       When do they migrate north along the Oregon Coast
Elephant seals do deep dives to forage for food. The energy used by the seals in diving depends on their body composition; for example, fatter seals use less energy to swim to the surface at the end of a dive, allowing them to takelonger, more productive dives. Explain why you’d expect this to be the case.
