Introduction:

The zygote after fertilization undergoes multiple cell divisions to give rise to the blastula. The blastula is a ball of cells with a fluid-filled cavity. The conversion of the blastula into the distinct tissue layers and body axes, by the movement of cells, is known as gastrulation.
