The water in an animal’s body is present inside the cells, and this water is known as intracellular fluid. Intracellular fluid is also known as cytosol. The water or the fluid found in the spaces between the cells is known as interstitial fluid or tissue fluid. The extracellular fluid is basically the composition of all body fluids that are present outside the cells.
