We would like to assess a service charge for cashing a check. The service charge depends on the amount of the check. If the check amount is less than $10, we will charge $1. If the amount is greater than $10 but less than $100, we will charge 10 percent of the amount. If the amount is greater than $100, but less than $1,000, we will charge SS plus 5 percent of the amount. If the value is over $1,000, we will charge $40 plus 1 percent of the amount. Use a multibranch if-olsc statement in a fragment of code to compute the service charge.

- BP Service Station sells gasoline and has a car wash. Fees for the car wash are the US $15,000.00 with a gasoline purchase of US $20,000.00 or more and the US $20,000.00 otherwise. Three kinds of gasoline are available: regular at K3,900.00, unleaded at the US $, 200.00, and super unleaded at the US $ 4 600.00 per litter. You are required to write a program that prints a statement for a customer. Input consists of the number of litters purchased, kind of gasoline purchased (R, U, S, or for no purchase, N), and car wash desired (Y or N). (a). Develop a Pseudocode and a structure chart for the service station problem.(b). Write a program in c++ programming to compute the amount due from a customer of the service station.arrow_forwardScenario As you surely know, due to some astronomical reasons, years may be leap or common. The former are 366 days long, while the latter are 365 days long. Since the introduction of the Gregorian calendar (in 1582), the following rule is used to determine the kind of year: if the year number isn't divisible by four, it's a common year, otherwise, if the year number isn't divisible by 100, it's a leap year. otherwise, if the year number isn't divisible by 400, it's a common year. otherwise, it's a leap year. none of the above year int(input("enter the year")) if (year%4 1-0) and (year%400 -0) or (year % 1000): print (year is common year") else: print(year, is leap year") year= int(input ("enter the year")) if (years !-0) or (year480 1-0) and (year % 1001-0): print(year is common year") else: print(year, "is leap year") D year= int(input("enter the year"))arrow_forwardCorrect answer will be upvoted else downvoted. Computer science. After painting the white cells of the board, you want to place the maximum number of dominoes on it, according to the following rules: each domino covers two adjacent cells; each cell is covered by at most one domino; if a domino is placed horizontally (it covers two adjacent cells in one of the rows), it should cover only red cells; if a domino is placed vertically (it covers two adjacent cells in one of the columns), it should cover only blue cells. Let the value of the board be the maximum number of dominoes you can place. Calculate the sum of values of the board over all 2w possible ways to paint it. Since it can be huge, print it modulo 998244353. Input The first line contains two integers n and m (1≤n,m≤3⋅105; nm≤3⋅105) — the number of rows and columns, respectively. Then n lines follow, each line contains a string of m characters. The j-th character in the i-th string is * if the j-th cell in the i-th row…arrow_forward
- The United States federal personal income tax is calculated based on filing status and taxable income. There are four filing statuses: single filers, married filing jointly, married filing separately, and head of household. The tax rates vary every year. Table 4.2 shows the rates for 2009. If you are, say, single with a taxable income of $10,000, the first $8,350 is taxed at 10% and the other $1,650 is taxed at 15%. So, your tax is $1,082.50. - When you use a mortgage to purchase a home, the lending institution effectively owns the home. You buy back part ownership in the home with each monthly payment. The part you have bought back is your equity in the home. If the mortgage amount is P dollars, the monthly interest rate is r as a decimal, and the term of the mortgage is t months, then your equity after k payments is E(k) = P((1 + r)k − 1) (1 + r)t − 1 dollars. In this exercise, assume that the mortgage amount is $200,000, the APR is 6% so r = .06/12 and the term of the loan is 30 years (360 months). (a) Find a formula for the equity. (b) Make a graph of the equity over 360 months, the term of the loan. (c) Does the graph show that you have half-ownership in the home halfway through the term of the mortgage? Halfway through the term of the mortgage corresponds to k1 = _______ payments. From the graph, we see that E(k1) is ________ half of the mortgage amount, so we _______ have half-ownership in the home…arrow_forwardYou have just started a sales job in adepartment store. Your pay consists of a base salary and a commission. The base salaryis $5,000. The scheme shown below is used to determine the commission rate. Note that this is a graduated rate. The rate for the first $5,000 is at 6%, the next$5000 is at 8%, and the rest is at 10%. If your sales amounts to $25,000, the commissionis 5,000 * 6% + 5,000 * 8% + 15,000 * 10% = 2,200. Your goal is toearn $30,000 a year. Write a program to find the minimum sales you have to generatein order to make $30,000.arrow_forwardLoan negotiation is usually not a straightforward task. A type of loan is the discount installment loan. This type of loan has the following characteristics. Supposing a loan has face value of GHC 1000, interest is 10% and the duration is 24 months. The interest is compounded by multiplying the face value by 0.12 to produce GHC 120. The figure (120) is then multiplied by the loan period of 2 years to give GHC 240 as the total interest owed. This amount is immediately deducted from the face value leaving the customer with only GHC 760. Repayment is then made in monthly equal installments based on the face value. This means that the monthly payment will be GHC 1000 divided by 24 which is approximately 41.67. This method of calculating the monthly repayment is not too bad if the consumer needs only GHC 760 but the calculation is a bit complicated if the consumer needs GHC 1000. a.
