- Grace Hopper is one of the first programmers who developed compiler for a
programming language. - Grace Hopper and her team developed a series of compiling systems between 1951- 1953, which were named as A-0, A-1, A-2 while she was working with UNIVAC.
- In 1952, Hopper and her team developed Arithmetic Language version 0 system (A-0 system) for UNIVAC I.
