Problem 5
A nutritionist who works for a fitness club helps members by evaluating their diets. As part of her evaluation, she asks members for the number of fat grams and carbohydrate grams that they consumed in a day. Then, she calculates the number of calories that result from the fat, using the following formula: calories from fat = fat grams x 9. Next, she calculates the number of calories that result from the carbohydrates, using the following formula: calories from carbs = carb grams x 4 . Write a program that will make these calculations. Your program should use two separate functions to calculate fat and carb calories. Write a 3rd function that is called from main to capture user input and call the others.
Hailstone sequence
Given a positive integer n, the following rules will always create a sequence that ends with 1, called the hailstone sequence:
If n is even, divide it by 2
If n is odd, multiply it by 3 and add 1 (i.e. 3n +1)
Continue until n is 1
Write a program that reads an integer as input and prints the hailstone sequence starting with the integer entered. Format the output so that ten integers, each separated by a tab character (\t), are printed per line.
The output format can be achieved as follows:System.out.print(n + "\t");
Ex: If the input is:
