By eating low fat diet does not mean that an individual cannot develop an extra adipose mass, as the amino acids and glucose are also used to synthesize the fat in the liver. From the liver, the fat is supplied and stored in the adipose tissue. A diet of low fat but rich in sugar, for example, can still lead to a great increase in the fat body mass in the individual.
