Hybridization of carbon, nitrogen or oxygen can be identified by counting the number of π bonds,

If the atoms do not form π bond, then it is sp3 hybridized and the bond angle will be 109.5o.  When one lone pair is present, bond angle will be 107.3o. When two lone pair is present, bond angle will be 104.5o.

If the atoms form one π bond, then it is sp2 hybridized and the bond angle will be 120o

If the atoms form two π bonds, then it is sp hybridized and the bond angle will be 180o .
