The advocacy of the rights of women based on the equality of sex is known as feminism. In feminism there are a range of political movements, social movements, and ideologies that share a common goal.
Explanation of Solution
The role of women have a drastic change for the past few generations. Women have been given an opportunity in almost all the organizations. Moreover, they also do the role of leadership in the organization.
The gender gap between male and female leadership exists in the working environment for a longer time in the past. People in the past hold the traditional viewpoint that men are born leaders and women are subordinates. This view has been changed, at present male and female share the similar career path.
Moreover, the labor participation of women have been increased throughout the 20th and 21st century. Women are far enough in participation of the labor forces at present when compared to the past. The labor force participation of women in the past and present in selective countries are as follows:
- The participation of women labor force in 1970 in Country U is 43.3% and in 2012 is 63.7%.
- The participation of women labor force in 1970 in Country G is 38.4% and in 2012 is 53.2%.
- The participation of women labor force in 1970 in Country C is 38.3% and in 2012 is 66.7%.
- The participation of women labor force in 1970 in Country S is 50% and in 2012 is 61.3%.
From the above findings in the research, it is found that women are far enough in the participation of labor forces in various countries. Thus, it depicts the changing role of women in the past generations.
