Traditionally, when we think of gender, we may think of a strong, dominant male and a nurturing, compliant female. Recently, think about how you might have seen some changes in the way masculinity and femininity are viewed. Consider the softer masculinity mentioned in the excerpt which discussed how men might be able to show another side, a more emotional, feeling side, and still be considered masculine. Women might be able to be more aggressive in the workplace and still be considered feminine. Think about the ways you may have experienced this with fellow students or in the workplace.
