Why Do Phones Shouldn T Be Used In Class

Nowadays most of students have cell phones as a way to communicate with others.but sometimes they can get distracted by these devices in class. Schools should require cell phones to be turned off and putting away during class, so students would focus more on assignments and information provided by the instructor.

Although phones may be used to help students with work, North Eugene high school should ban phones because how much of a distraction they can be in a classroom. Schools that have banned phone at school, 82% of students have a phone on at school.(Document #3) If North Eugene at least has a policy with not having students bring the phones in class, that will help with test scores and participation in class. “Students with laptops had a lower test result than those without. The reason? They were not paying attention to their teachers. Phones should not be allowed in 10th period because of social media, taking advantage of using it anywhere , and texting.

Phone technology has been upgrading and updating for years now, and that’s obvious, and that means that this generation is filled with it. While it’s upgrading it’s also becoming more in demand than before. The world is starting taking it to another level, so there are also the downsides of these phones, the downsides that make this technology distracting, making people to beleive they shouldn’t be alowed in class. While it is true, phones can be a distraction sometimes, if the students are monitered the right way and know exactly what they are doing, phones just might be able to work out. With proper use, phones should be alowed in school.

Most schools do not allow the use of cell phones in school or in class, so the school feels like changing their policy of cell phone use might be a bad idea. Students could take advantage or miss use the privilege of phones in class. There will always be students who act out in class, but the school must discipline those who do and reward those who do not.

My purpose is for kids to not have their phones at school because it can cause a distraction. No phones at school would be the best choice because it’s distracting.

One thing that schools are consistently blamed for is the fact that they don't prepare you enough for the outside world, the world outside the protection of your parents, a real job. The world beyond school, the working world relies so much on cell phones that they don't even realize it. Cell phones are a powerful tool that lets employees check their mail, call clients, check inventory, read the news, etc. Instead of phones being taken away from students. They should be taught how to use them properly and responsibly, parents just want to blame teachers because their OWN child wasn't taught by their parents when they bought him/her the new iPhone X on proper usage. The first teacher of a child is his/her own parents so please, parents maybe take some more responsibility on your actions before blaming others. At Jefferson middle school, we are only allowed to have our phones out during lunch time. The teacher’s think that It is a distraction having our phones out while we are in class. But I think that we should be able to have our phones out while we are in class,some students get their work done better if they are listening to music. Allison from house 7-1 thinks that it is a good idea to have our cell phones in math class so that we can use them for calculators.

Why doesn't the school let us use our phones in class if it would help us? There are many reason why using your phones could help you in class. If you listen to music in class it can help you focus. Listening to music helps me get my work done a lot faster. Music blocks out all of the background distraction so it's easier to do whatever you need to do without getting distracted and it's also enjoyable. The only time a teacher should not let students have their phones out is if they are taking a quiz or test.
