Compare and Contrast Traditional vs. Online As this world 's technology is progressing so is the way we teach and learn. Ever since school started hundreds of years ago it 's always been a teacher in a live classroom with many students. Everything is shifting, however; and now we have transitioned into online classes as well. I have had both, and I can tell you there are many comparisons and contrasts between the two. 77% of educators believe that online learning is just as good as traditional learning, if not better, nearly 70% of all students claim online instruction to be as good as or better than a traditional classroom setting, and 26% of online students claim to learn better online than in a classroom. So clearly people aren 't too against this new form of learning. Online enrollment rates are expanding at much faster rates than traditional classroom enrollment growth; specifically, in higher education, online enrollments have grown 21%, whereas growth for traditional classroom instruction registers only 2% since 2002. Traditional and Online classes have a lot of similarities and differences especially in areas like flexibility, comprehension of the course material, and discipline. Traditional is what I had my entire life up until I entered high school. It is what I prefer out of both choices. I learn from one-on-one interaction, and that is something that online doesn 't have.
