Introduction and Objective
Did you know some television news stories being read last just seconds? Even full stories with a reporter in the field last just minutes. Would you be able to summarize and get your point across in just seconds? That’s sort of what it’s like with the conclusion to a paper – that last push to make an impact on the reader.

What must be mentioned? What could be left out and not leave a hole in the information?
A summary could be about a paragraph, paper, television show, or movie. No matter what it’s about, a summary should include the main idea and key points. There is no new information added and no personal opinions. Mortni, Donzo. Ereadingworksheets. Accessed August 4, 2015. www.ereadingworksheets.com
Main idea: downfall of trolleys as the main public transportation
Supporting details: 1) General Motors created group to lobby for laws and regulations that made things difficult for the trolley companies. 2) General Motors was backed by tire and oil companies in order to make fake companies that bought and took apart the trolley car system.
To summarize the full passage, we need to pull the main idea and key points together from the information above. There is no need to name all the companies. We can call them companies tied to the auto industry. There also is no need to list everything they did. We can say they worked to take down the trolley system to replace it with the transportation we know
What were the objectives of this lesson? How well do you think your students understood the overall purpose and relevance of the lesson? (APS 4.A–C)
Another key problem was going over the 2000 word limit. I reached the word limit in the conclusion making me have to cut things out of the conclusion, introduction and background information.
You need to provide a summary of your learning for this week, particularly in response to the “learning outcomes” in your own words. Your tutor will ask students to present their responses to the class at the next tutorial session.
Length: A summary is a shorter version of the original piece of writing. Your summary should be 1/3 the length of the original piece or less. For this assignment, that means one long paragraph of less than 300 words.
This chapter also taught me he importance a ntroduction and a conclusion has. Decourm chapter 7 states “The introduction to your essay is a invitation to the reader. If your invitation is boring, they won’t join you” (63). I learned that if your introduction is not powerful or appealing the reader may become lost and not intrested. Decorum aalso states “Conclusions are also important because they explang the essay’s ideas in a larger context and undercover why the discussion was worthwhile” (63).
Less than 100 words. I stated a hook and transition sentence that where kind of captivating in a way but not in a sense that it was mind boggling. My thesis was clear and defined I was able to get the point of the paper across with one sentence. As for my conclusion was not quite the perfection but it did get the job done. For the conclusion of a reflection paper I was not quite sure how to wrap the paper up. I figured that since the paper was all about the past I should end it with some present knowledge. By stating how the situation was today I feel it would give the reader a sense of what simple factor could change a life. These strengths that I have, have the ability to be
Conclusion 1. Restate the main points: remind you topics covered
This decision come with its share of consequences. As it was noted, the centrally generated transportation system was relatively clean and very efficient. The trackless trolleys as well as electric buses powered by overhead wires transported the public with ease across the towns. However, with GM taking over, there was a brewing conspiracy. That was, to destroy the mass transit and convert the public to reliance on private automobiles, which in fact depended on foreign oil.
You should include an introduction that catches the readers’ attention, states the central theme, and sets the tone for the book analysis.
Finally, after you finish writing the body paragraphs, craft a conclusion. Restate your thesis in different words and then summarize each main point from the body in a sentence. Write a universal statement for the last sentence. Print your research paper and your Works Cited page.
I will end the introduction with a thesis. I will develop the body by stating the topic of each paragraph and then using evidence to support my claims. I will develop the conclusion by restating my points and talking about why this topic is important.
The first part shows (General Motor) G. M. 's role in the 1930s and 1940s dismantling of streetcars and taking the space for a bus company. This strategy was intended to push more people into driving cars, since buses were a poor substitute for the streetcars. The
For me, forming conclusions and fleshing out ideas are my two main weak points. In every paper I’ve written, the endings of paragraphs and the final paragraph itself have always taken me double, if not triple, the amount of time it took me to write up the rest of the essay. In concluding paragraphs, I can typically find an ending that, while it may not be the best way, pleases me enough so that I can move on. These endings are still far from perfect however, and half the time they may leave some of the readers questions and concerns unanswered. The same goes for the conclusion paragraph. It takes me days after finishing a paper to write a proper conclusion for it since I either end up restating myself, or type a grand total of one sentence. For example, I was originally prepared to turn in my satirical essay without the final paragraph. For a few days, I had convinced myself that if someone were to read the rest of the report, then there would
To summarize is to state the most important points. We might try to summarize the Bible. We might try to summarize some scientific observations. We might try to summarize our experiences. We might try to summarize this book.
Third but not least, the conclusion provides an almost mirror image of the introduction, wrapping up the arguments with a restatement of the thesis of your essay. I call this the bottom burger bun or in other words the conclusion. Holding it all together is the bottom bun of the hamburger or the conclusion to sum up all the key points of interest. The conclusion sentence should be interesting by giving it a call to action. As you can see a hamburger is easy to make like writing is not as hard as you think. Writing is very simple to do as preparing a hamburger.
