Alexander N. Hotze Professor Amanda Renee Rico English 210 14 June 2015 An Internal Proposal to Update the Texas A&M Campus Map System Purpose The purpose of this proposal is to request authorization to explore and create a solution to the problems associated with the current Texas A&M campus map system and the difficulty of attaining directions to various locations across one of the largest college campuses in the world. Summary In my English 210 class this summer, my professor has asked that each student write an internal proposal that addresses a specific need for either our work or school community. I have chosen to address the needs of the Texas A&M community and focus on the issue of acquiring accurate directions on campus. To prepare for this proposal, I will …show more content…
More specifically, we have been asked to develop a proposal by preforming five different tasks: • Develop and provide an in depth analysis of the basic need of an interactive campus map • Communicate with experts that are knowledgeable about the situation • Research other existing methods, which are currently in use at other universities • Establish a bottom line when it comes to developing and funding the improvements • Anticipate and provide answers to any foreseeable counter arguments • Draw conclusions and provide a suggested course of action in a report In the following sections, you will find that I have provided more information regarding proposed tasks, schedule, and budget, as well as our credentials and references. Proposed Tasks With the approval of this proposal, I plan to carry out the following tasks in an effort to gain an understanding of the viability of changing the current system as well as develop a strategy for a suggested course of action for upgrading our outdated
Task 1. Summarize each of the above-proposed projects in a simple table format suitable for presentation to top management. Include the name for each project, identify how each one supports business strategies, assess the potential financial benefits and other benefits of each project, and provide your initial assessment of the value of each project.
Considerations will be implementing upgrading the entire network the new system will rely upon, in its current state it will not sufficiently support the projected needs of the new system
7. Have a meeting of the project team or other stakeholders to develop a consensus of the ranking of proposals.
ii. The legacy system must be upgraded to support the requirements of this paragraph as soon as administratively possible.
Briefly describe the problem or issue that you have decided to be the topic for your project proposal in order to orient your classmates and faculty
This lesson allows you to elaborate on the work you did in Lesson 12. Using the research proposal you developed in Lesson 12 as a foundation, choose a sampling methodology that compliments your original proposal. Do not include specific questions in your proposal. Use the structure illustrated below. The proposal will be evaluated using, in part, your use of the methodologies described in the text.
* To create a presentation with valid proposals and recommendations to be shared with senior leadership team, by the end of February
The following is the outline of the Plan that the student is advised to follow as closely as possible. Each topic will address one or few specific competencies or learning outcomes. Each competency will be graded and assessed using the attached rubric.
The campus isn’t extremely big, but it can get confusing, so always have a map handy, until you get the hang of it.
I hope to provide possible ways to improve the services provided to aid the parking issues that are found on the Florida International University. The issue of parking at Florida International University is the lack of being able to find parking at most given times. There are a lot of times where I have arrived at Florida International University and have spent over 20 minutes driving in circles trying to find a parking spot. And I am not the only one. Martina Bretous writes in one of her article posts. “It always starts out the same way: a race to the elevator entrance at the sight of anyone entering the garage followed by a head popping out of a lowered car window yelling ‘Are you leaving? (Bretous)’” I would use this excerpt to
In creating my map, I wanted to simplify and explain some of the things not pointed out to us at student orientation, such as the fact that there will be days where we have no where to park our vehicles, or the fact that Hargray seems so very far away from everything else on campus. I decided to show the map from above, because it was a lot easier to include all of the main points this way. I live on campus but this map wasn’t created just for other residents, commuters could easily use this map as well. A map like this would’ve saved me a lot of surprises; you can just call this the spoiler alert. I’m going to ease you into all the “shocks” of this campus.
Provide an efficient means for students to develop various aspects of a technical/business proposal throughout the course. There are three papers that build on each other through the session to give the students experience in taking a concept and expanding on it.
Select five (5) and write a detailed explanation of how your use of these techniques could be applied in your personal and business life. b) For each of the five (5) chosen techniques, write and explain the result you would hope to achieve by use of that technique.
Brief summary description of the project proposal: Describe problem addressed, proposed solution, expected results, intended beneficiaries and reason(s) why assistance is requested from the Voluntary Fund.
[Note: This sample proposal is based on a composite of past proposals, simulated information and references, and material I’ve included for illustration purposes – it is based roughly on a fairly standard research proposal; I say roughly because there is no one set way of creating a quantitative research proposal. Much of its design is based on the nature of the research, your preferences, and your decisions regarding how to describe or portray what it is you plan to accomplish. The material in this document was adopted from a dissertation proposal created by Dr. Ralph Brockett. A biography
