In the future, I ultimately intend to be a psychologist. With being a psychologist, I am taking on the responsibility on how to lead people into having an overall better life and promote positive change for them. Psychologists often specialize in studying and examining the brain and human behavior. That being said, psychology is a very important branch of science that attempts to help us stay sane!
Already getting started next year, I enrolled into a psychology class to get a jumpstart for when I go into college. I chose to enroll into the psychology class because the human mind is something that is very complex and diverse. By me taking this class, I am partially more ahead and more taught than that of a student who doesn’t take the class. And that way, when I get into the psychology major, I have a small intake of what it is all about.
Once I’m done with taking the high school courses of psychology, I plan on going to the University of California, Los Angeles to further continue my soon-to-be career. Researching the top ranked colleges of the psychology major, UCLA is ranked number 2! Me being in the psychology classes might possibly give me a better look into wanting to study at the number 2 ranked college for psychology, so it should be a win-win situation.
In order to become a psychologist, there are certain classes that you have to enroll in. The required classes that you have to take into having the psychology major are statistics, experimental methods/research
Taking a Psychology class has taught me a lot about others and myself. I have learned a lot in this class and the information I retained will stick with me for the rest of my life. The knowledge I have gained will help me in the future by allowing me to be a better actress, CEO, and mother. The most important topics I will need are Lifespan Development and Psychological Disorders. These subjects can be unknowingly important when crossing paths with other people.
My heart remains set on becoming a psychologist and I plan to accomplish that dream in the years to come. For now, I am taking an AP psychology class while I finish my senior year; I decided to get a taste for what the rest of my life will be like. Thankfully, this class has only cleared my vision for becoming a psychologist. I’ve learned that the term “psychology” itself is rather broad. There are many fields and subfields in psychology, not to mention there are psychiatrists and psychoanalysts as well. I’m not sure what field exactly I want to partake in, but I’m hoping that I will be able to make a choice when I attend CU Boulder in the
Senior year was quickly approaching and I still had one more spot left. I was indecisive about what other class I should add into my schedule. I researched a little and decided on AP Psychology. Little did I know how much I would come to enjoy the subject. From the beginning, I was interested in the psychology. Studying the way the brain works and why people behave the way they do have been topics I’ve been curious about before. Psychology is a subject unlike any other that I’ve studied before. Psychology studies the human mind and behaviors. It provides answers or theories of why people behave certain ways. It also includes bits of biology and and statistics, so the knowledge in other subjects help me understand it more. As I learn more about

put your opinion in e.g. I believe this perspective can help an individual who has a fear or phobia by seeing why the individual is so scared. I also think that the behaviourist perspective can help measure changes of a behaviour. On the other hand I feel that the behaviourist perspective doesn’t take in the biological perspective.

The major depressive disorder in her was characterized by low mood and the worsening relationship with her family members. She did not get along well with her mother considering that she was emotionally and physically tortured.
Over the course of this class I have pieced together many things about my own life that before went unnoticed. I am now able to see things in a bit of a different light. Now that I have been introduced to the realm of psychology I understand some of the reasons for behavior around me. I have learned that there is a reason for most everything and a lot of our behaviors and mental processes can be explained through psychology. Studies have been conducted for many years to try and pinpoint the source of our behavior and it is not something that most people think about every day. Having a better understanding of why we operate the way we do will help me to better understand myself and the others around me.
It’s interesting to find out that the things we eat and drink are more so identified by our senses of sight and smell and not just taste. This is because food can be identified by just sight alone, and same thing goes for smell as well! Our brains actually view taste as a combination of the senses smell and touch at the same time. So really all sensory information is gathered from the actual substance we a consuming. The way we get this information through sent is located in the back of our mouths and called the “retronasal olfaction. The way we gather this similar same information through smell is located in the nose and called the “orthonasal olfaction”. These methods both influence the perception of flavor, so
UMUC offers numerous courses in Psychology so as to provide students with the knowledge that they will need in order to be successful in their future careers. The curriculum offered ensures that students acquire a knowledge base of theory, research, and practice in psychological sciences. Although some of the courses offered are required in order to obtain an undergraduate degree in Psychology, many are available to choose from that meet the interests and needs of each student as well. Upon graduation I plan to search for a job as a Childcare Director. Fortunately, the classes in psychology that I have completed have given me the knowledge and critical thinking skills that I need to be successful as well as given me a deeper understanding of how children develop and learn. The psychology courses that I have taken are:
As we age and grow in life, we constantly change in many different aspects. It is natural for humans to develop
When I started this class this pass September I had a little knowledge of psychology. In my junior year of high school I took Psychology as an elective class. I really enjoy it alot, it amaze me how much there was to know about our brains. This September I came with the feeling that this psychology class was going to be way different from my psychology class from high school. And that my knowledge from my class before wasn’t going to be useful at all. But I was wrong, this class has actually been better than my other class. Because it has help dust off some of the concepted that I had learn before. But it has also made gain more knowledge about psychology that I didn’t knew before. For example the next concepts are the ones that had impacted me the most: critical thinking and the eight essential, implicit learning, short term and long term memories. I chose these concept because they have not only taught me more about psychology, but they have made a big impact on me.
