Political Causes of World War 1

First of all World War two mainly occurred because of Hitler. However, the treaty of Versailles allowed for Hitler to take over Germany easily. The treaty of Versailles reduced Germany’s military to rubble. Germany was forced to take full blame for the war and they had to pay for damages due to the war. This infuriated the German citizens. Germany was so weak and angry that it was perfect for a dictator like Hitler to take over. When people are lost, weak and hungry, they need a leader to follow. Hitler was this leader but the only reason he could take over was because the Treaty of Versailles set up Germany for failure.

There were many underlying causes that could have been used to lead up to World War I. World War I had many turning points throughout the war. The war took over a huge piece of land and water for each country involved in the war. There were four main causes that have been believed to be the cause of World War I.

Everyone wants peace but it is not often that it is accomplished, especially between nations. Even though World War 1 was over, disputes between nations did not come to an end, but continued. The Treaty of Versailles was one of many attempts. It was a document that ended World War 1; however, it solely blamed Germany for the war and forced Germany to pay reparations. Furthermore, the treaty was also unfair because Germany did not even attend the meeting, Germany was blamed and humiliated, and they also had to pay everything.

World War 2 was something devastating that has happened and the Versailles Treaty may have been a reason that it even started. The main reasons the treaty caused this are: the treaty made Germany lose land as part of a consequence, they found it unfair since they were blamed for WW1, they had to pay for all damages caused during war, and it caused them to have a limited military.

The great global conflict of the Second World War was started because of the inexistent actions taken to prevent the war. The Second World War did not happen directly, but there was a series of events that led up to the horrific war. The deadly World War II had begun by the inability to enforce the Treaty of Versailles, the corrupted League of Nations, and the failed policy of appeasement. These three points are long term causes which express thee reasoning for the outbreak of war.

For more than four years, World War One (WW1) was a conflict that caused a destruction to land and many family members who have lost their lives. Over sixteen million civilians were killed and ten million men died during the war. WW1 broke out because of the four main causes; Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism and Nationalism. Militarism was a crucial aspect that caused WW1 to break out because countries such as France and Germany had created a huge army to prepare for war. The Alliances was a fundamental long-term factor that led to the outbreak of WW1 as countries also decided to align with other countries so they could help each other if one goes to war. Imperialism was another vital factor that caused WW1 to erupt as many countries scrambled for territories that were not taken which began the tension of countries trying to expand their empire. Lastly, Nationalism was a very important reason in causing WW1 as European countries felt that they were more superior than the rest of the countries.

World War II was caused by the Treaty of Versailles because Germany had taken the blame for all of the damage after WW1. The name for Germany taking all the blame is War guilt clause.

There was bias and cruelty spread throughout the whole document. Those terms smothered with bias and cruelty was what set off the chain of events that would eventually, about twenty years later, start World War II.

Why did World War II begin? On June 28, 1919, seven and a half months after the fighting during World War I, the Versailles Treaty was signed by the Allied nation and a defeated Germany. The Allied nations included Great Britain, France, and the United States. By signing this treaty they thought they would prevent another World War to occur, but that was not the case. In the treaty many nations wanted to “punish” Germany for the war and incorporated many harsh punishments for Germany. Many people can see these punishments by the loss of territory, military restrictions, and the billions of dollars in reparations.
