Many of the course goals were encountered while completed this assignment. These included increasing audience awareness, practicing important types of technical communications (memos and instructions), creating documents that solve problems through communication using relevant sources, and learn use of design document principles to enhance usability and overall effectiveness. Each of the course goals played at least some part in successfully completing this

Rhetorical analysis is the way we could communicate effectively by understanding the content, in which to lead us to achieve our goals. According to an article, rhetorical analysis “is the form of criticism that employs the principles of rhetoric”. It is also a practice of effective communication by using the language of art and media to achieve specific goals. The components I will use in a rhetorical analysis are introduction, rhetorical situation, rhetorical appeals and a conclusion. In this rhetorical analysis, I hope I could be able to understand the author’s bias so as to determine whether the content of the document is believable or not. Also, I hope I will learn more about how the professions in the fields of design communicate

Brand design plays a crucial role on the customers’ purchasing decision. The brand design is the tool to promote a product by any organisation that can either attract the customers or resist them to buy the product. The chosen topic is considered to evaluate the importance of branding for any product in UK and US. As opined by Kapferer (2012, p.76), Brand Design is important when trying to market a new product or service in the market, which is new or already exists.

This week, we discussed about Interaction Design, which is a process of designing that consider the interactions between users and products.

It was the twelfth of September, the leaves were quietly falling off the trees, and the sky was a gloomy shade of gray. Although I was doing the dishes, on my mother's order, I was secretly attempting to get her to sit down, relax, and let me ask her a few questions. My mother is a very busy woman, she does all kinds of things to make the world a better place, for her loving family, and even for the people she doesn’t know. All she could suspect then, is that I mysteriously listened to her directions without arguing. After finishing the dishes, I rushed towards her before she could start something else, I asked her if she could allow me to interview her. Inefficient storytelling: Surveys are mainly useful when scope is needed and context is unnecessary, but design requires the opposite. To properly design a product one needs a thorough understanding of the client, it’s needs and desires, something that can only be gained through in depth discussion.

Over the course of the semester, we have learned a variety of interviewing techniques and put them into practice. We have videotaped ourselves interviewing and spent time analyzing it; we have spent time in the classroom participating in role-play scenarios. These experiences have given me the chance to begin learning and developing my own set of interviewing techniques and skills. To culminate our learning for the semester, we conducted one final interview and in this paper I will reflect on it in the context of the entirety of the class.
