Qualitative Designs Qualitative techniques are used at the time of collection of data and the analysis of the data. Qualitative research is used to gain an understanding of why things transpire and how they occur (Cooper & Schindler, 2014). Capella University has several technique that are pre-approved that learners can utilize for their dissertations such as descriptive case studies, descriptive phenomenology, and exploratory data analysis (Capella University, 2016). Case Study
Case studies are considered an influential research methodology that can association group interviews and individual interviews with observation. Sponsors are usually allowed to observe the group in real time. This is done in order for the sponsor to gain their own insight from their observations. A moderator is normally in the focus group to introduce new topics or questions from the observers. This is something that is usually not seen in in-depth interviews, group interviews, or survey research (Cooper & Schindler, 2014). In the scenario, focus groups are mentioned as a data source, utilizing a semi-structured interview approach.
