Many jobs that one would get right out of high school are usually labor intensive or just not ideal conditions. These jobs include being the grunt worker for a construction company, working on a farm, or being a janitor. These job might not be terrible, but someone who does these would eventually become tired of their working environment. Having a college degree will typically end in having a more enjoyable job. Jobs like teaching, nursing, engineering, and accounting are all professions that require some sort of college degree and are considered nicer jobs with a better work environment. College will help students get a better job, but it will also make that student more prepared for adult

Going directly to college after high school can be completely beneficial to one’s life. It is what the government encourages while in high school and can easily be accomplished. By attending college at a young age you can live the infamous college life that so many adults speak of as “the best four years of my life”. These four years can be achieved and should be enjoyed. As a young student, one can have the stamina to attend class with hours on end. As a current college student, I see many adults coming back to college because they have been part of the group that has tried to succeed while only having a high school diploma. The truth of the matter is those high school students that realize that a four-year degree in college can secure a place in life that is acceptable for them will be the ones to succeed; furthermore, these students are the future of America.

In today's society a college degree will open the door to many job opportunities. The possibilities are endless compared to those presented with a high school diploma. College gives you a chance to show the world the best version of yourself. They give you the chance to get earn money for doing the thing you love. College degrees are the difference between living comfortably, or struggling paycheck to paycheck. I don't want to struggle, so this is why high school is just the beginning of my education. College also gives you the chance to meet new people from around the country. A lot can happen in fours years. Since the student is currently learning some independence, this is a great time where they can get to know themselves better. During a gap year, students have the opportunity to get to know them as well as learn what they want to do in life (Ma, 2014). Back in 2013, there were interviews given to many students at different universities, about their experience with a gap year. A student by the name of Eden Full, Princeton University, stated that since he was young, he was always on the path to success. With a gap year, it had given him time to learn some new skills and explore some new interests that he had never had before (Lazaro, 2013). Another student by the name of Tiffany Yanagida, a computer science major at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, stated that a gap year had given her some time to find out her future career path. This was something that she had no idea about at the young age of 18 (Lazaro, 2013). This is a great time to have fun, build up your social network, and go out and enjoy the world.

First reason why you should go to college after high school is because of future opportunities. When applying for a job you wanna look your best and you want to look professional and experienced at whatever you want to do. Going to college after high school can prepare you for the real world and make you more responsible. The more experienced you look in whatever field you wanna do the jobs will be looking for someone with at least some experience. Even if you do not agree with going to college after high school you will still want a job and college can make you look like a

There are many choices and paths to choose when the time comes to attend college however, a question to ask is, is it worth it? If decided to attend college, the following decision to be made revolves around an area of study one would like to pursue and the topic of study that will be available for them. Though many can further their education in different ways, a couple of ways consist of attending a four year college (private/ public) or a community college. Not going to college at all is the other alternative, but is it really a smart idea? Most adults have continuously told young students all through high school to attend college. A student’s chance of economic success in the future can be risen due to a college education. Judith Scott-Clayton, who is an assistant professor of economics and education at Teachers College at Columbia University states, “Individuals with bachelor’s degrees earn about 60 percent more than those with just a high school diploma, who in turn earn about 40 percent more than high school dropouts.” Students who seek higher education, are more likely to experience a better future and a better life. The cost of going to college may seem overwhelming at times however, the experiences and education obtained throughout college is priceless in regards to the way one interacts with others on a global basis, has a stronger job stability, and has better employment benefits.

    After high school students have the opportunity to attend a college. Today, it seems like fewer people go to college. People will say “It’s too expensive or I don’t have the time” however that's just not the case, in my opinion, college is worth it because if someone is seeking a long-term job with security, mobility, and pay increase must attend college. Having the degree is better than not having one at all.

Going to college will set the basis for your career pathway in the future. High school students contemplate that college is not the right choice for them, but there are multiple benefits that come with a college degree. If students decide to attend college, they may considerate it a waste of time and stress. Unlike high school for some, college needs taken seriously. Attending college prepares and gives you knowledge on what to expect when you start the career. Those who attend college are more than likely to get a higher wage job then individuals who decided not to join.

Being a high school student college is a huge thing to think about. College is a great opportunity to makes new friends and open up a whole new chapter in your life. I believe that everyone should go to college, and receive a college degree. College could benefit everyone. The benefits of a college degree are endless. With a college degree you could accomplish anything. You would more likely to get a high paying job, and are able to build a better life for yourself.

About a generation ago getting a college education was born out of the pursuit of knowledge, but now it has become a competition for students to get into the most accredited University right after they are handed their high school diploma. College tuition has become so expensive in the last ten years that people are now debating whether or not college it is worth pursuing right out of high school. A college education is what the student makes out of it, and if they 're only going to get a degree it is important to know that a college education does not guarantee a job and stable future. The majority of young adults at the end of high school don 't even know what career they want to pursue because of the restricting high school curriculum, so to remedy this people should consider community college or taking a gap year. Whether or not to get a college education depends on what the person wants to do. Four year college should not be the default after finishing high school in America.

Throughout a student’s journey of schooling, college is mentioned hundreds of times. Maybe even thousands. Once they reach high school the next four years are dedicated to preparing for college. Some will feel overwhelmed by this thought and others may not. While a lot of people have the option to go, many decide not to. In Charles Murray’s article, Are Too Many People Going to College he discusses a few reasons why people might not choose college. Although in my own opinion it is not always necessary to attend college, I do believe it will benefit many people. Freeman Hrabowski’s article Colleges Prepare People for Life makes a point about benefits of college which I agree with.

Once highschool ends, you will think you are already done with school, and you can finally be free, and you are kind of right. However, your college education should not stop at high school, as high school only teaches you a few things. Going to college will teach things outside of just learning some basic math and writing formats. College will prepare you for life as well. By going to college, you will earn more, be more employable due to your accumulation of knowledge, and you will live a healthier life. College is not for everyone, but if you prefer a secure future then it is suggested to go to college. By pursuing business without a college degree, you could lose all your money and everything you have worked for at any moment if you are not cautious. With a college degree, you can earn a decent salary with a secure job.

Why do people take a gap year? Since all of us are students, I’m pretty sure you would like to hear and know about what a gap year can do to us.

Though there are many advantages to taking a gap year, there are just as many disadvantages. People may find themselves unwilling to go back to school, they may lose opportunities for scholarships, or they might not have enough money to support the activities they replace school with. Even their social life could be affected. With all of these negative aspects one may ask, why would anyone risk taking a gap year?

As Greg Kristof, a gap year taker and now sophomore at Harvard University, stated in the interview that I conducted, “In America it seems that college is a huge rite of passage when actually it’s a huge investment”.
