Me and my family was at the carnival my big brother wants to go on the orbiter so we were on the ride and it bring you up and start to spin you around and around and it feels like you are about to fly off and that’s scared me to death. So then after the ride was over we went over to my mom and my big sister wants me to go on the super shot with her and that bring you higher than the last ride it brings you up in the air and drops down super-fast. So we wait in line because we are the last one in line for free day and I back out and my dad came over and was like I’ll go. So I went back over to my mom and said if you go on with her I’ll give you 5 dollars. So I went back over to them and told my dad what my mom had told me and still did not
I never will understand this day to the fair and what all happened, I don’t think anyone will. I just know that one animal ruined a month for me. It was the week right before fair, and all I did was walk my cow. It was the first time ever showing a cow, my brother convinced me that it would be a fun learning experience. That didn’t happen at all for me when I walked into that show ring with a 1,100 pound steer. I was up at 4:00 a.m. the morning of the show, and I was ready to go wash my cows and get them ready for the show.
It was 4:30 p.m. at the carnival. My little brother Rudy went on this ride called space Shot. Where this ride goes up strolling and goes down fast, like a meteorite falling from the sky. Rudy begged me to come to the space shot ride, but I didn't want to, because I'm scared of heights. I tried to keep him away from the ride.
In today’s global economy, businesses and corporations are faced with challenges to stay competitive. They struggle to find trained employees to keep their production and services at peak performance. States also struggle to maintain and raise the standard of living with poverty and crime on the rise. During these difficult times, high school students are overwhelmed with decisions regarding their post- secondary education because of the exorbitant price of attending four year colleges. Often competitive and qualified high school graduates defer attending school simply because of the cost. The state of Tennessee has not only identified these issues but has also put a plan in place to combat them: their Tennessee Promise, a program which guarantees high school graduates access to community colleges free of charge. Every state in the Unites States should participate in programs similar to the Tennessee Promise Program ensuring free community college tuition in order to improve the quality of living in each state, to provide qualified workers for specialized jobs, and to allow students to either be debt free after their two-year degree or much less in debt after finishing their four-year program.
Day 3, work on the second piece of the “puzzle” and progress with your next task…
I have 15 minutes and the spotlight is on me, that is just 900 seconds to change the world. Andy Warhol once stated “In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes” I am sure many would use those 15 minutes for money, stardome, and the praise of others. I have a very different vision. I have an earnest dream of using my moments of fame to be a proponent for mankind. My “moment of fame” would consist of having a crowd of open-minded people where I can pragmatically preach tolerance, peace, and appreciation to those willing to listen.
Imagine you’ve had a job for twenty years then suddenly the manufacturing plant is closing. No one is immune to losing their job. It could happen to anyone. I even lost a job; it's frightening. I returned to college to pursue a degree. I was able to do so because I met the poverty level and qualified for federal grants. Some unemployed people don’t qualify for federal grants. For this reason. I propose a bill to the Colorado Legislators: free tuition vouchers for the unemployed that want to pursue post-secondary education. If they don't qualify for a federal Pell Grant. They would receive a tuition voucher every year for up to 4 years. The person must maintain at least a 2.0-grade point
Students at Southeast Polk High School have to be to school by 7:50 everyday. This is hard on the students who work late at work or are in other activities and do not get to sleep until a later time.
The ability to care for the underprivileged is a choice some nurses may not embrace due to the challenges involved. A NP working in rural, low socioeconomic areas requires a service with selflessness. Florence Nightingale served the lives of countless soldiers when she transformed battlefield nursing care during the Crimean war. In 1842, she developed public health nursing for the sick and poor at home and created a health care reform (Monteiro, 1985).
Looking at the numbers above, I immediately notice that there are different ages on the different planets. This brings up the question of how we define the time intervals we measure. What is a day? What is a year?
Education is known as one of the most important things in the United States. Society should make everything in their power to provide students and teachers with extra time to make the best out of the education they’re given. As students, they don't always have enough time to do homework as most students do activities after school. Giving students and teachers one less day of school will allow students to do their work and for teachers to get things ready for the upcoming week. Four-day school is a great idea as it improves students attitude and grades, it leads to saving money, and it increases teachers preparation time.
We got out our fast passes which is a card that you put 3 rides on ,and you get in the fastpass line for it and you get through the line super quick. But we were going to ride Mt Everest at disney's animal kingdom. Me and my cousin gabbi were so excited we were about to pop, so we got in line, the fastpass line we waited for 10 min to get on the ride. Me and my cousin got on the cart with each other, and our moms got in the cart behind us. The carts were brown and big with a seat belt and a big thing that goes over your head to keep you in. The ride started
The issue of making college tuition-free has recently come to many’s attention in American politics, largely because the two leading contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, have each mentioned it. Sanders has called for free undergraduate tuition at public colleges and universities, to be financed by a tax on Wall Street speculation, while Clinton has done the same, although with some qualifications and a different funding mechanism (www.forbes).
While some people may think that they are getting free stuff, in reality nothing is free in the world because we had to give up something even though we did not have to pay for it. In economic point of view, this is called tradeoffs and opportunity cost. Tradeoffs involves sacrificing one thing in order to obtain another. Tradeoffs would then create opportunity costs, which is what we did not choose when make tradeoff. This two ideas also apply to the concept of no free lunch. When a friend invites you dinner and offer to pay for your meal, even though the food is free, the concept of opportunity cost come in because rather than watching a movie or spending time with your family, you forgo doing other things with the time you spend eating it.
The old economy that developed during the Industrial Revolution represented a working system that was based on unionized labor, mass production, and labor that was divided by gender. Frederick Winslow Taylor introduced a different way to manage in order to increase productivity. “He advocated the benefits of redesigning work to wrest control from workers and place it in the hands of management” (Sweet, 10).
