English 111 Reflective Essay

At first I was not sure what I should put, but then when I starting thinking about it, it came pretty easily. However I did have a difficult time thinking about what I can’t change because I try not to focus on that.

Reflecting on this course over this semester, there have been many lessons learned that will be valuable, as we enter the business world. Our first lesson was to learn to work together, as a team, to prepare a short memo, long memo, letter, and email for use in the business world. This is a lesson that will experience many times as we do our daily work. Punctuation and grammar are so important to present to the client and other organizations that we are professionals. It could mean the loss of a sale or acquiring new business. It’s like dressing for work; looking professional or unprofessional.

As part of my Business Innovation Development Project Unit, I had the opportunity to put myself into group with my friends or people I believed I could work well with. In the first stages of our group we all tried to get to know each other more through analysing personality and learning types’ test that we previously undertook. I realise we were going through the normal stages of the team formation in particular forming and norming (Tuckman, 1965). In my assignment group we had all Belbin team roles which helped us perform well throughout our project and also helped us to identify other team members’ behavioural strengths and weaknesses. My overall experience in English 101 has definitely changed the style in which I read and write. This online English 101 course has introduced me to many different types of writing that I did not know even existed. From weekly discussion boards, to the interview college, to the rhetorical analysis and research essay, I have learned how to properly and effectively write with many different tones and attitudes. Not only have I learned how to write with many tones and attitudes but I have also strongly caught onto the concept of how to address multiple audience groups in the most appropriate way possible. After reflecting on all of the concepts I have discovered in English 101 this semester, I have realized that I have not only grown tremendously

This essay is a reflective essay on my learning development from a young age through to my current position as a University Student. I will be relating my learning development back to two theories of human development, Vygotstsky’s socio-cultural theory and Marcia’s version of Erikson’s theory of identity development. I will identify and discuss the challenge I have faced with my identity and how this has impacted on my development.

Proficient writing is an essential skill in all aspects of academic and professional achievement. English 101, Introduction to Composition and Rhetoric, provided the framework to good writing, teaching me composition and rhetoric fundamentals, polishing up my grammar and style, and expressing a clear message. English 102, Composition, Rhetoric, and Research, continued to build on the skills I learned in English 101, focusing on the subject matter research process and employing various rhetorical and literary devices to better express a clear message to the reader. The course also improved my critical thinking capacity, allowing me to culturally evaluate my target audience, present logically flowing arguments using appropriate language and structure, and critically reviewing my writing projects for content and expression. Every writer inherently knows there’s always room to improve and I hold fast to this mindset in all academic, professional, and personal writing projects. English 102 has both challenged and inspired me to grow into a much better writer than before I began the class, providing the necessary skills to be not just a good writer, but a great writer.

Vital signs are a fundamental component of nursing care and indicate the body’s ability to maintain blood flow, regulate temperature and regulate oxygenate the body tissue. Taking vital signs are essential in revealing any sudden changes in the body, which could potentially indicate clinical deterioration of the patient.

English IV is the last English you have to have before you graduate. It focuses on reading and writing. It also implements listening and multitasking a little. You have to read several thrilling books and write an essay every other week or so. It also teaches public speaking. There are several projects that include presenting at the front of the class. This class will help tremendously with future endeavors as well. Whether you come to school everyday or not, this class teaches you alot.

The dreaded English 102. Could this be my final English course in my career as a student? I don’t know for sure. I still need to decide what my major will be in. There is something that I know for sure, that is, needing to take this class to move on. I am not certain how my time in this class will go, but I plan to work hard to get the best grade that I can. Hence, I have decided to get this out of the way now, I look to fine-tune my writing skills, and I expect this course to help me understand my writing style.

This is a reflective essay based on a event which took place in a hospital setting. The aim of this essay is to explore how members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) worked together and communicate with each other to achieve the best patients outcome.

It would be my greatest pleasure to inform you about this class taught by Dr. Garefino! There are many aspects of this course I want to talk to you about which will help you succeed. Firstly, remembering due dates are important! I had to learn the hard way that not doing required assignments can result in significant point loss. Assignments that are required in this class are not at all difficult and are very informative. In order to learn about different aspects of various cultures, it is crucial that you do all of your readings on time and do those assignments. After taking this class I realized how similar and different culture is from one country to another.

The EDX1450 course has influenced my teaching and philosophy of Health and Physical Education by ensuring that all lessons I plan and conduct are positive and inclusive. Through this course, I have learned that changing my lessons to suit my students and their needs is more important than my personal biases and values. I have also been informed of methods which include the TREE method (Robyne Garrett & Alison Wrench, 2006) which I can use to make my physical activities inclusion. As a teacher, I will attempt to make all my lessons inclusive, positive and use all resources including ICT. Another reason it has influence is my thoughts on health education and how I will rank teaching it. I will make health education engaging for all students

My strategical approaches includes early identifying the cause , Referrals made appropriately, Interventions that are timely , Significance of treatments, Patient education and measuring the outcomes.The biggest barrier I have come across is nurses have no available help how to respond on a patients death and dying. It is not common to include courses on death and dying in nursing curriculums (Jonas, Simpson, Pilkington, MacDonald & McMahon 2013, 2). Patient death and dying may impact nurses adversely, producing feelings such as depression and guilt (Martins, Chaves & Campos 2014, 172; Gerow, Conejo, Alonzo, Davis, Rodgers & Domian 2010, 123; Shorter & Stayt 2010, 160). Some nurses reported their unpreparedness when dealing with patient death and dying, attributing this to having received insufficient education (Alvaro 2009, 29).
