CONFLICT AND OMAGH ESSAY Conflict is an inevitable occurrence that occurs throughout all woks of life and its effect expand far beyond the individual person and pose a significant impact on the wider community. Conflicts can be as small as a disagreement with friends or family or as big as a bombing or war. Conflict can be expressed as a fight or struggle due to a clash between people with opposing beliefs or interests. He was a man great courage and tolerance. He taught his followers to ‘adopt a peaceful course of action to avoid all violence’. Similar to Gandhi, he also rejected violence. In the 1950’s, Mandela was arrested and imprisoned for twenty-seven years. After that twenty-seven years of imprisonment, he would have seeked revenge but he didn’t, because he believed in avoiding conflict. Instead, he kept teaching peace and equality. Mandela led a life that symbolizes the triumph of human spirit. Latter in 1994, he led South Africa as President. It is people like Nelson Mandela that try and circumvent conflict even when a human is concerned. A conflict is a serious disagreement, argument, or something you have to overcome. Most people don't know how to react to to conflict. Some people react in ways like having an emotional outlet , writing about the conflict, and by confronting the the problem. Some ways i over come conflicts is to write about it, talk to my friends, and to have a positive attitude. Positivety helps you have a better mindset on the problem. As research and personal experience shows, one of the most effective ways to respond to conflict is to have a positive outlook on the situation.
Martin Luther King Jr dedicated his life fighting to end discrimination against African-American men, women, and children. Martin did not believe in violence at all and would use kindness and love as opposed to violence and hate, this would help set the tone of his iconic movement to end racism. Martin was able to prove that a world without violence can be successful. Martin Luther King was an African-American Civil Rights activist, whose aim was to obtain equality between the races. He believed that this was best done using non-violence (inspired by Gandhi), and so he preached peace. Although he is widely recognised as the main face of the Civil Rights Movement, there were others who contributed in a crucial fashion to the progression of this movement. Rosa Parks, for example, ignited the match which set off the Civil Rights Movement with her refusal to give up her seat on the bus to a white person. In the end, it was a combination of King’s non-violence approach and Malcom X’s brute force method which gave black Americans more freedom.
