cameras with digital cameras I will place cameras on all the floors and entrances and parking garage this will not only add an extra security presence but also adding cameras to monitor employees for possible internal theft. I also replaced all the monitors with LCD screen this will help in making the screen clearer when either monitoring the cameras or when employees are walking through the entrance. This helps show the employees that we can see anything and see it clear. ID Badges/Locks All employees are required to carry an ID card at all times when in the building and the ID card is required to visible at all times. The ID card also acts also as key cards to access to lock doors. All doors to department areas are locked at all …show more content…
At the main entrance there is a security guard who monitors the main entrance watching all employees who enter the building. Now when I saw this one thing that bothered me was that when everybody was walking into the building a person an intruder could attempt to walk in and get passed the security guard as an employee. One of things that I have added is a key card scanner that is placed of the lobby where employees are walking to get to get to their departments. What will happen is that employees will have to scan there ID’s when passing these stations. Now if somebody passes these areas without scanning there key card they will set off an alarm alerting the guard. This is an added security feature to help in making sure that only employees are entering the entrance.
Security Employees When I took over I was told that we had a security team that would only monitor the main entrance. I believe that having a security team around the building will help in not only protecting the building but also protect the assets in the building. The building has only one security guard who monitors the main entrance. There is guard from when the building is open to when the building is close. The building does not have a security team during the weakened. The building has hired their own security
All registers and computers are fitted with biometric finger scanners. Managers must okay any returns, voids, or price changes at the register with the use of a biometric finger scanner. These biometric finger scanners are used in multiple ways such as “unlocking” the register to ring up a customer or sell pseudoephedrine products to patients. Biometric finger scanners are used on the pharmacy computers to approve the dispensing of a medication, canceling refills on a medication, or deleting a prescription. Pharmacy employees and managers have multiple passwords to access different programs including McKesson medication ordering, DHEC patient lookup, clocking in/out of work, and distribution center ordering. These passwords and the use of a biometric finger scanner stop unauthorized employees from accessing information. Pharmacy technicians cannot use their password or finger scan to approve the dispensing of a medication. Only the pharmacist, with either their password or finger scan, may do this. Passwords for certain programs expire after 90 days and must be
There is such a range of people walking the grounds (including visitors, visitors’ guests, college students, training staff, supervising staff, and contract workers) that ensuring proper security is important.
Safety: All entry doors should be lockable to prevent any un wanted visititors but also allow for an easy exit in the case of an emergency.
The main concern that may arise when dealing with intruders in the college is getting hold of personal information. This is a major concern for any school or college and is important that they are stopped. If intruders do enter the premises they could get hold of personal information about students and staff. In my poster I have highlighted this and given advice on how to stop this from occurring if someone unauthorized enters the building. Computes should be password locked when they are not being used and any confidential paper work should be put into cabinets which are locked. Staff should ensure that all members staff are aware of this rule and if any computers are not locked to do so. By having this

I am also planning to put alarm system on all PSETC building. Alarm systems, although expensive to purchase and instill, are usually economical in the long run and provide a substantial return on the initial investment, (Ortmeier, 2009). All exterior doors and sensitive areas within the facility will be hard wired with alarm, and if a security alarm is received after hours, security shall immediately investigate the alarm and then call in a maintenance to fix the alarm. If security determines that there is a burglary in process, he/she then notify the police and prevent personnel or students from being endangered.
The principal has arranged for a keypad to be installed at the front door. This means any non-staff member wanting to enter the school must first ring the bell and wait for the receptionist to verify their identity before they are admitted. The positive impact of this is that the children are safe from access by unauthorised people and it protects their right to safety and security.
Insuring that the front door is always child safety locked after every visitor parent carer or staff member leaves.
Physical security – are generally intended to deter potential intruders 9 e.g. warning signs and perimeter markings); to detect intrusions and monitor / record intruders (e.g. intruder alarms and CCTV systems); to trigger appropriate incident responses (e.g. by security guards and police).
During this week, I have learned a lot from reading my classmate’s primary task responses. I the discussion that I have read, I learned some of the high risk area in the hotel of loss through theft and the security controls that are used to ensure the occurrences. In my future business I will check my entire employee’s background for felony or anything that shows if that employee haven been in any trouble before hiring, so their want surprises me. My entire employee’s will be treated fairly and with respect even if their record is clean or not. However, I will have security team keep watch on the surveillance to customer items and information succored. All the knowledge that I gain in this week will be useful for my future business to become
In our setting we have an intercom system that parents, staff and visitors must buzz through where there is also a cctv system installed In the office so we can monitor who enters the premises at all times to ensure the safety of the yp and staff when indoors and outdoors. A member of staff is always in the office to answer the door. All visitors must sign in and be given a visitors badges when on site. Parents/carers/friends/family must sign each child out with a member of staff. If a visitor has no reason to be on the premise then management will be informed, they will asked to leave and if they refuse then the police will be called. We take a register daily to ensure we know how many yp have attended a.s.c and each name of the child present so in case an emergency we know exactly who is present on that day
When its time to open the door in the morning, lunch time and home time, one member of staff will be at the main door and the also one member of staff is at the gate and another in the main room. This is put into place to stop people coming in who shouldn’t be and also children are only aloud to go home with a parent/carer or a responsible adult who carries a specific password.
Monitoring of the camera feeds could have helped security direct the customers to exit point and directed the containment team to the primary locations
