Apologize For Apology

I am writing this letter to express to you my truly and most humble apologies for what happened on April 5th. I also am going to explain to you how it was wrong and what i will do in the future to meet you expectations of your classroom.

Respect is something that we all want and it's a major aspect of esteem. Getting respect from people requires behaving like a respectful person. This means showing dedication to your career, your sobriety, and treating them with the respect they deserve.

Respect is something as simple as treating everyone equally regardless of age, colour, weight, beliefs, gender, sexual orientation and so on. If Irene is respected, she will feel more comfortable in her environment and less stressed (Gallagher, 2007).

It is important to allow someone to know that you respect them. It will ease the conversation and create trust. Behavior and attitude will allow the person demanding respect to feel that respect. When we respect each other, there are fewer conflicts. People get along easier and avoid the unnecessary drama associated with a lack of respect.

Everyone wants to be respected. It’s in our nature, but in order to obtain respect, first of all one has to respect oneself. Second, one has to show respect to others in order to gain respect from them. If one doesn’t show respect to someone, that person may often feel blown off and lose respect for you. Respect is an important element in effective communication, and the development of a relationship. Actively listening to another person’s point of view or opinion, remembering personal details, showing an interest and responding in an appropriate manner, all show that you have listened and placed importance upon what has been said, which leads to positive relationships and respectful, effective communication.

Most people go through life and always hear about the word respect, but they don’t know what it means. Respect is the esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person. There are things in life you need to hold in respect. Respect for yourself, respect for others, and respect for property. Respect is taught to people everywhere and it is even taught to them in their religions. Respect is the very aspect that keeps everything in your life.

I appreciate the apology given to our people, but I feel that we deserve more. Sorry is not enough for us. I want my people to get back what they lost to yours. I want it to be as if your people never stepped foot in my land. I am asking for a reparation for our people. I want the land that was originally ours back and I want the money my people lost because of your people. Your people trespassed our land and claimed it as if it were theirs which was not. An apology is an admission that you have done something wrong and regret doing so. It can be difficult to admit that you have made a mistake. You have to let go of any defensiveness and ego and refrain from backtracking. No one likes the complicated, defeated feelings that come from being wrong. Apologizing requires humility and the willingness to place the needs of those you have wrong above your own. It is imperative that you specify whether you are really sorry for your actions or if you are only sorry that you were caught. With that said, I once had to apologize for making fun of a friend's weight without realizing the effect that it would have on her.
