When I answered the questions on career cruising I found that my results were inaccurate as to the career I am interested in. The first career was mechanical engineer. Environmental engineer is the second on list. The career that I am actually interested in Software development and Computer science I did not get the results I was looking for in my career assessment. I will still look for a career in information technology when I enter the workforce but for now I will look into the jobs the field has to offer. I want to become a software developer and work for good software company, I hope it works out that way in the end. I disagree with the survey results because I do not want to become a engineer in those fields, I feel like being an engineer will be to heavy of a weight on my shoulders. Environmental engineer would not fit me because I am not a environmental type of person.

I have gained the knowledge of consequences and incentives that are effective and also ineffective to use. The importance of learning academic and vocational skills throughout high school is that it creates a basis for every major or job they could want to do, and see non-academic subjects in an intellectual light. A student spends roughly four thousand hours in high school. Very little of this time is spent learning vocational skills if any. This is because in our society, there is a bias that more academic based jobs are of higher status than vocational jobs.

To achieve success in education and career one must be dedicated and committed to our goals. You must have a clear objective what the goals are and have the proper plan to accomplish your success. Dedication with the proper approach will certainly bring success both in your education and career goals. Just wishing your goals will not bring you success, you must have a desire, the eagerness and driving force to be successful. You must make sacrifices and have a plan in mind. The first part of the plan is to create a goal for you. After that, you need to set a time frame to accomplish the task, then everyday work toward it. You must put in a great effort and work hard to create success in your education and career paths and once you achieve it you must create an environment to maintain it.

Writing is one of the four basic skills to be taught for the students. It is a way for students to express their idea and opinion. The important of writing can be seen in daily activities when they need to write short texts such as memos, invitation letters, sympathy notes, brochure, article, business letters, applications letter and many others. Through writing students can transfer their experiences and knowledge to others. So, they should be able to produce sentences and develop it into paragraphs and essays. It is active thinking process of the students to plan, arrange and express idea in order the text could be understood by the readers. A good writing helps avoid misunderstanding between the writer’s idea and the reader’s opinion.

When I have morning class on campus, I always wake up at 6 o’clock. I tidy up my bed and take a shower immediately. Afterwards, I iron my clothes that I will wear to the campus. Then, I wear my clothes soon and start to prepare things that I will bring to the campus

Learning is best for students whenever their teacher applies emotion, gives them the requisite support and challenges them. It is through such process that students gain in-depth learning and thus discover their values, abilities, passions as well as responsibilities in learning situations that provide adventure. In most school lessons, students undertake tasks that require them to use their creativity, self-discipline and craftsmanship. It is thus the work of the teacher to assist the students discover their hidden abilities and overcome their fears in applying their knowledge to classroom and job problems through in-depth teaching practice.

It has not been easy but challenging and interesting. Unfortunately in this present job I have no colleagues, institution authorities or supervisors, which means anything I do in the classroom hardly ever provides me any feedback of what I am doing. Except of course for the eventual commentaries I receive from my students and the annual performance evaluation. Therefore I had this urgent necessity of obtaining some refreshment and reviewing of what I am doing in my classroom. I need to make a stop to reflect about how effective my teaching is. If the things I am doing are adequate and suitable to take my pupils to achieve their goal to communicate in the target language. Teaching in this context was at the beginning of the journey a frightening and stressing episode, first of all because I did not know anything about mining, geology, finance and accounting, just to mention some and not to make myself look like a complete ignorant. Secondly the atmosphere in a corporate has nothing to do with the informal ambience in an elementary school and thirdly but not least important, the students expectations and perceptions are not the same. Thus, I had to remake myself.
