I am in the wrong box.
He was of so melancholy a disposition, that, whenever he went to the theatre, he said he was always in the wrong box to be happy. It is, however, an old proverb.“That man,” said Dr. Johnson of Lord Lyttelton, “sat down to write a book [“Dialogues of the Dead”], to tell the world what the world had all his life been telling him.”
