Lamber, Juliette (lä-bā’)—Madame Adam (ä-do‘). A French miscellaneous writer; born at Verberie, Oct. 4, 1836; died in 1936. Her writings are mainly on political, social, and literary topics. She founded the Nouvelle Revue. Her works include: ‘The Siege of Paris’; ‘Garibaldi’; ‘A Peasant Woman’s Narratives’; ‘In the Alps’; ‘Laïde’; ‘The Hungarian Country’; ‘The Story of My Youth’ (1902); ‘French Impressions in Russia’ (1912).
