János Batsányi (1763–1845)

Batsányi, János (bo’chän-yē). A Hungarian poet, prose-writer, and journalist; born at Tapolcza, May 11, 1763; died at Linz, May 12, 1845. With Baróti and Kazinczy, he founded a journal, the Magyar Museum (1788), and was editor of the Magyar Minerva.
