Histamines are released in response to food stimuli. Smell and even though of food would induce the release of histamines which facilitates the acid production by the stomach cells. Histamine can also be released during an immune reaction. When too much of histamines are secreted by the immune system, certain conditions such as anaphylaxis, allergic response in skin and nose.
