Types of Linked List
A sequence of data elements connected through links is called a linked list (LL). The elements of a linked list are nodes containing data and a reference to the next node in the list. In a linked list, the elements are stored in a non-contiguous manner and the linear order in maintained by means of a pointer associated with each node in the list which is used to point to the subsequent node in the list.
Linked List
When a set of items is organized sequentially, it is termed as list. Linked list is a list whose order is given by links from one item to the next. It contains a link to the structure containing the next item so we can say that it is a completely different way to represent a list. In linked list, each structure of the list is known as node and it consists of two fields (one for containing the item and other one is for containing the next item address).
Every time you write a non-const member function for a linked list, you should always think about if that function is preserving your class invariants.

- Write java code for a member function insertSorted(int d) for a linked list. The function traverses the list until it finds the correct location, then it inserts a node in that location. You may use the function given the class.Unordered Sets |As explained in this chapter, a set is a collection of distinct elements of the same type. Design the class unorderedSetType, derived from the class unorderedArrayListType, to manipulate sets. Note that you need to redefine only the functions insertAt, insertEnd, and replaceAt. If the item to be inserted is already in the list, the functions insertAt and insertEnd output an appropriate message, such as 13 is already in the set. Similarly, if the item to be replaced is already in the list, the function replaceAt outputs an appropriate message. Also, write a program to test your class. In C++ Plz LAB: Grocery shopping list (linked list: inserting at the end of a list) Given main(), define an InsertAtEnd() member function in the ItemNode class that adds an element to the end of a linked list. DO NOT print the dummy head node. Ex. if the input is: 4 Kale Lettuce Carrots Peanuts where 4 is the number of items to be inserted; Kale, Lettuce, Carrots, Peanuts are the names of the items to be added at the end of the list. The output is: Kale Lettuce Carrots Peanuts ItemNode.h Default Code: #include <iostream>#include <string>using namespace std; class ItemNode {private: string item; ItemNode* nextNodeRef; public: // Constructor ItemNode() { item = ""; nextNodeRef = NULL; } // Constructor ItemNode(string itemInit) { this->item = itemInit; this->nextNodeRef = NULL; } // ConstructorItemNode(string itemInit, ItemNode *nextLoc) {this->item = itemInit;this->nextNodeRef = nextLoc;} // Insert node after this…
- Reference-based Linked Lists: Select all of the following statements that are true. As a singly linked list's node references both its predecessor and its successor, it is easily possible to traverse such a list in both directions. According to the terminology introduced in class, the head reference variable in a singly linked list object references the list's first node. According to the terminology introduced in class, in a doubly linked list, each node references both the head and tail node. In a double-ended singly linked list, the tail reference variable provides access to the entire list. In a circular linked list, the last node references the first node.Concatenate Map This function will be given a single parameter known as the Map List. The Map List is a list of maps. Your job is to combine all the maps found in the map list into a single map and return it. There are two rules for addingvalues to the map. You must add key-value pairs to the map in the same order they are found in the Map List. If the key already exists, it cannot be overwritten. In other words, if two or more maps have the same key, the key to be added cannot be overwritten by the subsequent maps. Signature: public static HashMap<String, Integer> concatenateMap(ArrayList<HashMap<String, Integer>> mapList) Example: INPUT: [{b=55, t=20, f=26, n=87, o=93}, {s=95, f=9, n=11, o=71}, {f=89, n=82, o=29}]OUTPUT: {b=55, s=95, t=20, f=26, n=87, o=93} INPUT: [{v=2, f=80, z=43, k=90, n=43}, {d=41, f=98, y=39, n=83}, {d=12, v=61, y=44, n=30}]OUTPUT: {d=41, v=2, f=80, y=39, z=43, k=90, n=43} INPUT: [{p=79, b=10, g=28, h=21, z=62}, {p=5, g=87, h=38}, {p=29,…JAVA CODE Learning Objectives: Detailed understanding of the linked list and its implementation. Practice with inorder sorting. Practice with use of Java exceptions. Practice use of generics. You have been provided with java code for SomeList<T> class. This code is for a general linked list implementation where the elements are not ordered. For this assignment you will modify the code provided to create a SortedList<T> class that will maintain elements in a linked list in ascending order and allow the removal of objects from both the front and back. You will be required to add methods for inserting an object in order (InsertInorder) and removing an object from the front or back. You will write a test program, ListTest, that inserts 25 random integers, between 0 and 100, into the linked list resulting in an in-order list. Your code to remove an object must include the exception NoSuchElementException. Demonstrate your code by displaying the ordered linked list and…
- Java - Write a non-member method for a "enqueue" that utilizes a doubly linked list. There are three variables available (can be sent) to the method; a “front” reference, a “rear” reference, and a data element (string) (you decide what you need). Empty case is when front and rear are NULL. The node is defined as follows: class node{ node after; node before string data }Computer Science //iterator() creates a new Iterator over this list. It will//initially be referring to the first value in the list, unless the//list is empty, in which case it will be considered both "past start"//and "past end". template <typename ValueType>typename DoublyLinkedList<ValueType>::Iterator DoublyLinkedList<ValueType>::iterator(){//return iterator(head);} //constIterator() creates a new ConstIterator over this list. It will//initially be referring to the first value in the list, unless the//list is empty, in which case it will be considered both "past start"//and "past end". template <typename ValueType>typename DoublyLinkedList<ValueType>::ConstIterator DoublyLinkedList<ValueType>::constIterator() const{//return constIterator(head);} //Initializes a newly-constructed IteratorBase to operate on//the given list. It will initially be referring to the first//value in the list, unless the list is empty, in which case//it will be…Question 20 A list is a collection with additional index- and iteration- related operations. True False Question 21 O(N) is the order of growth execution time of the size operation when using the SortedArrayCollection class, assuming a collection size of N. True False Question 22 If N represents the number of elements in the list, then the index-based set method of the ABList class is O(1). True False Question 23 O(N) is the order of growth execution time of the remove operation when using the LinkedCollection class, assuming a collection size of N. True False Question 24 It is not possible to use an array to implement a linked list. True False Question 25 O(N) is the order of growth execution time of the remove operation when using the ArrayCollection class, assuming a collection size of N. True False Question 26 Our linked implementation of lists implements a bounded list. True False Question 27 O(N) is the order of growth execution time of the contains operation…
- In this assignment, you will create a Linked List data structure variant called a “Circular Linked List”. The Node structure is the same as discussed in the slides and defined as follows (we will use integers for data elements): public class Node { public int data; public Node next; } For the Circular Linked List, its class definition is as follows: public class CircularLinkedList { public int currentSize; public Node current; } In this Circular Linked List (CLL), each node has a reference to an existing next node. When Node elements are added to the CLL, the structure looks like a standard linked list with the last node’s next pointer always pointing to the first. In this way, there is no Node with a “next” pointer in the CLL that is ever pointing to null. For example, if a CLL has elements “5”, “3” and “4” and “current” is pointing to “3”, the CLL should look like: Key observations with this structure: The currentSize is 3 meaning there…C# Assume you have a LinkedList of Node objects. Both classes have all the normal operations shown below. Your job is to program the DeleteTail method of the LinkedList class. This method locates and deletes the last element of the linked list. You may not change its signature line. Keep your code clean, but no documentation is necessary. A good solution will be between 5 and 10 lines of code, not counting whitespace.Add the following functions and write a program to test these functions in the class linkedListType: a. Write the definition of a function that returns the data of the kth element of the linked list. If such element is not exist in the list, exit the program. b. Write the definition of a function that deletes the kth element of the linked list. If such element does not exist in the list, exit the program and display message as output.
