Social workers undertake several Job roles which can be challenging they are both statutory and non-statutory roles and range from working with the elderly, people with learning and physical disabilities, young offenders, mental health, school non-attenders, drug and alcohol abusers, homeless, children social care such as assessment team, safe guarding, children looked after and children with disabilities. Their role is to provide support and help in order to improve outcomes in people's lives. Our unwritten rules are the same being that we work with young children, so its very important to never leave the children unattended because you never know what they could end up in and also its very important to make sure that yo entertain the children because they always seem to act up when nobody is entertaining them. I agree with you that working with children makes you responisble because you know children are the hardest thing to watch so to know that you can watch them and take care them without any trouble is a good thing.

As a kid one should be able to have a worry free and stress free childhood. Many children are not allowed this fun time. Children grow up with unloving or caring families causing them to have to cope with problems and fear by them self. A child social workers duty is to help children cope with their problems and place them in better situations. A social worker follows many criterias in providing a child with the appropriate services and interventions such as identifying the situation or problem, planning the steps that should be taken to fix the problem, and following these steps in order to fix the problem.

Social workers provide support to individuals and families who are experiencing personal and social problems. Some of these supports include organizing support groups, counseling, providing information on and administering educational programs. Additional support includes helping individuals and family to access to medical assistance, nutritional assistance, income support and emergency accommodations. Clients can range from a family living in poverty, to those with disabilities, victims of crimes, drug addicts, the homeless and others who are experiencing a crisis.

Social workers are those in the field of profession, who has a desire to make changes in the communities, society, and the world as a whole. Social Workers assist people in helping them deal with or solve problems in everyday life. They may work with people who are homeless, abused, or having family problems. In assisting with these problems they may find resources for people, which requires them to find out what kind of help that client may need. They may also give counseling, meaning talking with them, helping the clients to understand and solve their situations. There are different types of Social Workers such as: family, children, and school social workers, medical and public health social workers, and mental health and substance abuse

When working as a social worker you will councel and consult families, teachers, students and other personel. you will address legal issues such as child abuse and discipline and

Child welfare and Family Services include day care homes, child care centers and head start centers. Their main duty is to address all their problems or help them with problems from infancy to teenage or older years. They help detect problems in their early years, so they won’t have to deal with them later on in life. They work with teenage parents by giving them parenting education classes so they can grow as parents. Community social workers help the community function, either working with one individual helping them use resources in the community, or they administer programs for the community. They’re basically considered community builders. Hospice and Palliative Care Social Workers work to improve the life of families with a serious illness

Social workers work precisely with individuals, families, groups, communities, and they treat social behaviors difficulties, offer counseling and therapy, and send their clients to alternative social services. They are employed by the government, social services and nonprofit organizations or by other institutions (Spencer, 2001).

Some people think that being a social worker is easy, but that’s not true, they are constantly working even when not on the clock. These social workers are passionate about what they do and will do whatever they can to make sure the children are safe. It’s very depressing working with some of the cases the social workers get, from the way families are living and the actions of the parents to the way the children are treated. Most cases social workers get are anonymous complaints, some of them will only give the child’s name and the neighborhood or general area. The social workers will then go to the school to try and get the information needed to locate the child. Although, most times when they ask for the information the school will not provide that for them without a signed form from the parents (Social Workers Battle Heavy Caseloads, Workplace Dangers). The social worker will evaluate the home to see if it is safe for the children to live there or if they need to be removed from that home. They will arrange foster homes or adoptive homes for the children. Social workers will also do home visits and evaluations of the foster or adoptive homes. At the home visits the social worker will talk to the foster/adoptive parents to make sure all is going well. If the children are old enough to talk and understand what is going on, the social worker will talk to them as well to see how they like it and make sure they

The social work field is solely dedicated to the giving back of others. A person in the career must be willing to spend hours working to make differences in clients’ lives. Children and family social work can be a very rewarding profession but yet challenging at times. Employees help others in need, advocate for important causes, and all around make positive impacts in the world.

Social workers are employed by the government and work with a wide range of people, for example; children in care, families who need support, adolescents who are in trouble with the law, as well as adults who need assistance during their every day lives (NHS 2006). The aim of social work is to build a partnership whist providing practical support and emotional support to children and their families (Hall & Slembrouck, 2009). They exist to help people in need, however throughout the years barriers have formed that prevent successful relationships (Croft, Beresford, & Adshead, 2007).

Over many years now, my desire lies in helping vulnerable people within society overcome obstacles. Therefore, studying Social Work as a degree is important to me; I want to gain the professional training and expertise to provide assistance to people in managing their daily lives, as it would be very rewarding to work with individuals and families in order to help make a positive difference in their lives.

A social worker is a person who can help improve an individual’s well-being. Social workers help individuals overcome difficult situations like poverty, discrimination, abuse, addiction, physical illness, divorce, unemployment, mental illness etc. They assist children, older adults, families, individuals, organizations, communities, the homeless, pregnant and parenting teens, or employees in the workforce. Social workers can also act as advocates, educators, mentors, or counselors for their clients. The overall focus of a social worker is the protection of their clients and to ensure their best interest is taken into consideration.

Clients depend on their social workers because they may be out of a family or friend and that person may be the only person they have to talk to (Social Work). It is essential to have good communication and problem solving skills when in this job (Social Work). Being a social worker is a very stressful and draining job, maturity and emotional strength is important (Social Work). It is suggested to volunteer at an agency to see if the person that is wanting to be the social worker is able/emotionally stable to this field (Social Work). Social workers take effect when children and women are in danger of neglect or even abused (What Social Workers Do). They protect children and families in need of assistance (What Social Workers Do). They help parents with money, education, childcare, and food for the children (What Social Workers Do). Social workers help people deal with their diagnoses and help their lifestyle easier for them (What Social Workers Do). When social workers are in certain positions they have to arrange adoptions, foster homes, and work to get families back on their feet again (What Social Workers Do). When everything and everyone (families) are back together they make necessary adjustments to everyday life for people who can not do it themselves (What Social Workers Do).
