“ We loved each other with a premature love, marked by fierceness that so often destroy adult lives?” ( Vladimir Nabokov, lolita) This quote can represent That Romeo and Juliet have a premature love that lead to bad consequences. Who was to blame for their death is the question. The people responsible for their death is Romeo and Juliet, their family, and Friar lawrence. Romeo and Juliet can be blame for their actions, Romeo a Montague and juliet a Capulet. They were not supposed to have any relationship and their family have been in a feud for many year. Romeo and Juliet are both young and foolish but there were old enough to know the consequences of their actions in my opinion. Romeo think he in love with Juliet after seeing her for the first time, even though he know Juliet a Capulet which he learns from the nurse. “O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name.” ( Act II scene 2 line number 35) Juliet know that he is a montage but still pursues a relationship with him regardless. Romeo and his impulsive actions gave Juliet a false sense of hope that he loved her and Juliet wants to get married because of how society is. In the end the people who are truly at fault are themselves and the actions they did. Their family is …show more content…
He agreed to marry them and kept them in there love daze. Even though the Friar was only doing this because he wanted to help the feud. He helped Juliet create a “master” plan to not marry Pairs. If Friar Laurence made sure the letter got to Romeo and then he wouldn't be lead to believe Juliet was dead. If Romeo wouldn't have killed himself because he was led to believe Juliet was dead was really dead then Juliet wouldn't have stabbed herself. Friar Laurence could have stayed and stopped Juliet from killing herself be he was too scared and fled. The Friar shouldn't have gambled with his luck Friars are suppose to be all
The first person to blame is Lord Capulet. As the father of Juliet, it was his job to find a man suitable for her to marry. In Act I, Scene 2, Capulet tells Paris, “Woo her, gentle Paris, get her heart.” Capulet is trying to make Juliet like Paris and encourages him to try and win her heart. Later on in the story, Romeo arrives at the Capulet household for a party. Having no grudge against the boy and only his parents, Capulet leaves Romeo alone at the party. It is during this party that Romeo and Juliet fall in love and decide to get married. Capulet, who is unaware of his daughter’s marriage, arranges for Juliet to marry Count Paris three days after her cousin Tybalt’s untimely death (Act III, Scene 4). Juliet refuses the marriage because she is already married to Romeo, but keeps this fact hidden from her father. Capulet
In ¨The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet¨,there seems to be the question of who seems most responsible for the deaths in Romeo and Juliet? I’ve come to the idea that it is the prince, Escalus who caused or atleast could’ve stopped these deaths from ever starting to unfold. He was so anonymous of every problem happening and never took charge of the situation until it concluded. He had to ask of benvolio”who began this bloody fray” when Mercutio and Tybalt were dead. He never had men prepared of any casualties that could happen or any men on patrol so no fight broke out in the first place.
One of the biggest questions regarding to the play "Romeo and Juliet" is who was responsible for their deaths? People all blame different characters in the play such as: Friar Laurence, their parents, themselves, and even fate. Even though some people might disagree with what I am about to say, I think that the only people at blame for this is no one else but Romeo and Juliet. I believe that at the end of the day it was their own, free will, decision. It was Romeo's decision to go to the ball, both, Romeo and Juliet's decision to keep their relationship going, and finally it was their decision at the end to kill themselves.
There are many people who could’ve been blamed for Romeo and Juliet’s death including Romeo and Juliet’s parents, Friar Laurence, or themselves. Their parents could be blamed because of their feud. It could also be blamed on Friar Laurence because he was the one who gave Juliet the potion without telling Romeo beforehand. However, I think that it could be mainly blamed on Romeo and Juliet because they were so immature with their relationship.
Two teenagers dead! Who is to blame for this tragedy? In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, a tragedy ends the lives of two teenagers in love -- an event causing great suffering, destruction, and distress. When the story begins, two young people instantly fall in love at first sight. Although their families are feuding, the two find a way to meet and secretly wed. Unfortunately, tragedy causes both Romeo and Juliet to choose death rather than separation. While several characters share the blame for the deaths of the star-crossed lovers, the guiltiest is Friar Laurence.
William Shakespeare’s tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, follows the forbidden love of young Juliet and her Romeo. Juliet is a Capulet and Romeo is a Montague. The Capulets and the Montagues have a long lasting feud and this is what forbids Romeo and Juliet from being together. The second Romeo sees Juliet, the love he thought he had for Rosaline vanishes and he falls in love with Juliet immediately. Unfortunately, Romeo and Juliet are forced to hide their love, and eventually their marriage because they are afraid of what their parents will think or what their parents will do. If anyone is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet, it would be Juliet’s parents, the Nurse, and Friar Laurence.
Young love is a subject that many authors write about and many people enjoy reading about. In these stories it’s great when everything works out for the young couple, but sometimes it doesn’t work out and there’s always someone at fault. In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is to blame for both himself and Juliet dying at the end of the play. It is Romeo’s fault because he rushed into decisions, kept secrets from those that could help him, and there ultimately could have been a better solution.
Romeo's and Juliet's deaths are the most important point in the play. This is because they were needless and cause by a series of misfortunes. They were the result of many people's efforts and mistakes, and caused the deaths of many people. These deaths lie firmly on the shoulders of Romeo and Juliet because their love led to many conflicts and death. In addition, it eventually led to their own deaths. Often, the deaths were simple misunderstandings or miscommunications. All of which could have easily been avoided. I firmly believe that ultimately the blame lies on Romeo and Juliet themselves because their decisions and actions led to their own demise.
Romeo and Juliet had to go through terribly sad deaths, and I think it’s both of their faults, and their families, of course. Even though I think it was both of their faults, I think Romeo should be blamed most. The first reason I blame Romeo is because he is the one who went to the Capulet’s party. He wasn’t invited, he had almost no reason to go, but Benvolio talked him into going because he wanted Romeo to forget Rosaline. Romeo listened to his cousin, knowing that he wasn’t invited and that’s where he met Juliet and instantly fell in love. If Romeo didn’t go, they wouldn’t have met, wouldn’t have fell in love, and would go on with their lives. “That I will show you shining at the feast, And she shall scant show well that now
A wedding is a joyful moment when families come together and celebrate the love between two people. Rarely, does a couple marry in secrecy and go as far as faking death to hide their love from their kinsmen. On even more rare accounts does the couple end their own lives, days after getting married. Unfortunately this was the case for the couple in William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the play it is made clear that Romeo and Juliet are inseparable and madly in love. Unfortunately, the love between Romeo and Juliet is so strong and leads to both of their deaths. Even though many characters impact their deaths it is visible that two characters are most to blame. Sadly, Romeo and
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is one of the “Tragedy” stories that he has written and the “Tragedy” was caused by someone in the story. The Montag and Capulet families have a feud, and they would hate the fact that each others’ son and daughter would marry each other. Sadly Romeo and Juliet marry each other without their parents consent. They could be also known as, star crossed lovers. Someone has to take the blame for these deaths and personally Friar Lawrence can take the blame for everything. For example in Act 2 Scene 6 Lines 35-38 shows how Friar Lawrence was influencing Romeo and Juliet to do what they are not suppose to do.
There’s many deaths that happen in the story of Romeo and Juliet but the most tragic deaths are Romeo and Juliet, but who’s to blame for their deaths? Speaking about this, Romeo would be one who would be to blame for his and Juliet's deaths? Furthermore this is thought because in this story Romeo is young and he is kinda immature and has a bad temper and he falls in love too easily, so all of these thing have a huge part
Romeo is primarily at fault because of his lack of judgement and his inadequate reasoning skills. If he had not been impulsive and taken his life, then Juliet would have lived. Heedless reasoning and the desire for love hinder Romeo’s judgment and lead to his and juliet’s demise; this theme is illustrated in the following events: Romeo’s instantaneous marriage to Juliet, and his decision to take the poison that would stop his heart. He placed little value on his own life, and took no time to consider how many people would be affected because of his actions.
No matter what anyone said or did, Romeo and Juliet knew they were meant to be. Falling so hard in love, it caused them to end their lives so they could finally be together. Who’s to blame for these tragic deaths? Some would argue that they are the ones to blame, but little do they know, there were three people involved in Romeo and Juliet taking their lives. In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, two households of hate are brought together when their children have a sudden sprung of instant love. Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet fall madly in love, but know they can’t be together, causing them to marry in secret. Romeo kills Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt, getting him banished from Verona. Juliet fakes her death to be with Romeo and to not marry Paris,
Once upon a time there was a boy named Romeo and a girl named Juliet, who lived separately but loved each other dearly. This story is about a boy and a girl whom their families hated each other deeply and they were enemies because they always fight with each other. The end of this beautiful love ended in tragedy with the death of the two star- crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Many people had different opinions about who to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death. Some of them said that the environmental factors (fate) caused their deaths. Others said that the authority Figures was blamed for their deaths. Part of people were blaming Romeo and Juliet (themselves) for their death. Actually, all of these statements blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death and there are a lot of evidences that would support my opinion.
