Group Project - Phase1 Paper 1 Event Builder: Real-time Multimedia Event Summarization by Visualizing Social Media The problems provided in paper one have to do with the rapid expansion of multimedia due to smartphones and cameras it states “Due to the ubiquitous availability of smartphones and digital cameras, the number of photos/videos online has increased rapidly. Therefore, it is challenging to efficiently browse multimedia content and obtain a summary of an event from a large collection of photos/videos aggregated in social media sharing platforms such as Flickr and Instagram” (Shah 2015). In paper 1, the main problem was that due to the high availably of smartphones and digital …show more content…
If this problem is solved it will make it so much more convenient for an individual to specify the facts of an event, instead of searching through thousands of photos and videos. Also, if this issue is resolved and extended through different approaches, it will have a beneficial impact in current technology and in the future. Paper 2 Human Activity Classification Approach on Smartphone Using Monkey Search Algorithm The problems that occurred in paper two is that they wanted to change the method in which human movement was being calculated it referred to the previous method as inaccurate for complex movement while the basic movements were deemed as accurate. In Paper 2, the main problem is that the current way of recording human activity is not accurate enough. Human Activity recognition is very important for health care monitoring which is one of the main reasons why accuracy is very crucial. The proposed solution for this problem is the Monkey Algorithm which is a classification algorithm. The goal of the solution is to use a combination between classification task and nature inspired computing techniques to classify human activity patterns based on smartphone data. The proposed solution allows for nature inspired computing to study human behavior based on wireless devices and the new age of modern technology. After data was taken from the Monkey
In order to solve the crisis above, it is mandatory to review the pros and cons of different kinds of communications. Electronic communications are fast, they are cost-effective and quite convenient. However, these attributes enclose intrinsic disadvantages. The technology that helps people to keep on the go also may invade privacy and cut into valuable time meant for other social activities. Devices such as cell phones with mobility technology and portable computers facilitate communication at all times. This allows one to work and visit sites in public locations, such as trains and other social gatherings. This has enabled people to stop traveling long distances to work and may do so from home. The technology also encourages productivity, for instance, a person intending to
Many critics say that the increasing use of technology such as smartphones, tablets and other devices
The Impact of Cell Phones On the Canadian Life Cell phones have been accepted as a part of the everyday Canadian life. Since the popularity of technology has drastically risen over the recent years, the impact it has also increased. Although there is many benefits to cell phones, I believe the negative impact greatly surpasses the positive impact on our lives today. Society has become so dependent on cell phones it’s almost unbearable to go 24 hours with out it. We are so reliant on texting that our interpersonal skills are suffering.
Companies are collecting data, laws regarding privacy policies and I will give prediction on how privacy issues will unfold in the future.
The technological capabilities of today are based largely from the use of cellphones and with a device that
Our world has undergone two stages of technical revolution which made our community develop rapidly. Entering the third millennium, we’re living in a modern society which is significant development in ICT. Technology has become an essential factor that has created a great revolution on all aspects of our lives such as education, medical, economy, politics, etc.…and connects us together. Technology has made our lives easier which results in the changing of other sides in our society. However, technology also consist drawbacks and has negatively effects on all fields in our society which people do not realize.
Although smartphones are making life in the twenty-first century very convenient, they introduce a variety of consequences from excessive use. There are parts of the author’s argument that could take into consideration some other points, while other parts of her assertion are spot on and very accurate.
Smart phone apps and e-diaries have become much more accessible and easy to use throughout the years. We are currently experiencing a technological boom with the development of smart phone apps and user friendly e-diaries for data collection. Due to the transient nature of society,
There will be an increase in the use of technology (e.g., laptop computers, electronic mail, fax machines).
A lot of technology improved for example flight, electricity, communication, transportation and much more other technical development and this was in the 20th century when all this developed . However in this recent times this development has brought a major change to our lives due to our smart phones, laptops , computer etc. this technical things are good advantage to us because it helps us and makes things much easier and quicker to use . In our smartphones we have specific features such as GPs, web Brower, Wi-Fi connectivity and so much more. Buzzle (2015)
Another issue arises from the fact that nowadays with the availability of laptops and tablets and
Technology has, since the primitive years, always been used to invent tools in order to solve problems. This would, in turn, simplify and make man’s life easier. Through advancements in the field, man has become more efficient on both the macro- and microscopic level. Anything nowadays can be attained with either the flip of a switch or a click of a mouse. One particular technology that came about in this time was the smartphone. Since 2008, the smartphone, a device that combines a normal cell phone with a computer, typically offering Internet access, data storage, e-mail capability, etc. all in your hand was deemed as ground-breaking technology and created one of the largest and most competitive market in terms of
We all use laptops, I Pad, tablets and mobile phones, we all watch televisions and use the internet to make researches, write e-mails, and connect with other people through social networking sites and chatting rooms.
3. It can be argues that Smartphone are increasingly becoming an everyday necessity in people’s live because of the important functions that they can do and the fact that they are all available in just one handset.
Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, the world has become a smaller place. The time used to travel to far distances has diminished; with the growth of new technologies, traveling and communicating have become simple daily tasks for many people. Through the growth of global communication, people have become closer to others across the globe, and business has gone world wide. One invention that came along with the technological revolution is the cell phone. Cell phones allow us to be reachable anywhere at anytime, letting us communicate even during travel. As time becomes more valuable for people, the importance of accessibility to communication also increases. With cell phones, the communication and
