Comfort zone is a situation where one feels safe and at ease. It is a type of behaviour that keeps us at a steadily Low anxiety level. Something that we do all the time, like taking the bus to school, watching television programmes and checking out social media platforms are part of our comfort zones. These everyday activities that we are used to will not make us feel anxious and uneasy. We like to stay in our comfort zone even though we are bored of being in the comfort zone. When we see the struggle that others go through to achieve something in life , we will be scared of the numerous challenges that we may face. However, it is important that we leave our comfort zone for self improvement so as to achieve success.
Getting out of our comfort zone is crucial and it will benefit us. One of the benefits is that we will find it easier to push our boundaries in the future. Once we start stepping out of our comfort zone, it gets easier to learn new skills and gain new knowledge over time. To illustrate my point, in order to communicate with my Korean classmate, I tried learning Korean. Although we could communicate in English, I challenged

Last year, I decided to read a book a moth. This is because reading will increase my vocabulary, helping me to express myself as well as being more open to new ideas and perspectives . When I did not really understand what the text is talking about, I did some research so that I could fully understand the story. Besides that, in order to remember the words which I had newly encountered, I wrote down Nee words into my notebook and reviewed then when I was free. Undeniably, reading helps me brainstorm , see old problems in a new light and tackle the challenges we face with energy. From my experience, the more widely read I am , the more nee , creative ideas I have and the better my writing skills
Fredrick Douglas once wrote, “Once you learn, you will be forever free “. As a child growing up with two older siblings, we were taught that learning how to read or write was going to be valuable in our everyday life. I knew that I had the potential to read and write, but just did not apply myself to get where I desired to be. I knew that learning how to read could be a major learning process which can very calm and help keeps your attitude. My life was transformed by reading that grew to be an aspect in my life. There were numerous of books that stood out and directed me toward s different direction, taught me valuable lessons and that helped me find certain things in life. I often think to myself if it were not from some of the books that
Trying to stay in your comfort zone and letting fear get the best of you will always choke your creativity and sabotage any chances you might have of succeeding. In order to achieve any worthy goals, you must start realizing that discomfort is a prerequisite for success. In his teaching, The Life Excellence Plan, Stephen McGhee wrote “You make yourself feel uncomfortable by stepping into uncharted territory. You allow yourself to rise up.” Being too comfortable is a sign that you are at a standstill in your life. In this world of convince it’s easy to get comfortable and fall into a life of mediocrity. No risk, no reward. On occasion we can get so comfortable with where we are in our lives that we no more test ourselves to push ahead in life.
A comfort zone is when a person does not “put their self out there”. Individuals living in their comfort zone stick to what they know, what they think is best for them, what they are most comfortable with, and what make them happy. Living in a comfort zone can cause people to miss out on opportunities that may benefit them in the future. For me, living in my comfort zone can hold me back from challenging myself, learning, growing, and making long lasting friendships. Pediatricians need good communication skills in order to communicate with parents, children, and colleagues. A typical day for me is going to class, coming back to my room, taking a nap, doing homework, watching television, and listening to music. I only come out of the room to go to class and to eat. Otherwise, I stay in my room until the next day and start the routine all over again. I am not much of a people person. I stay to myself and mingle with only a few. My cousin invited me to dinner with her and some friends once, but I turned her down. That was not the first time I had done that to her. Most of the time, if she asks me to go somewhere with her, I tell her no. I do not like associating myself with a lot of people I do not know. I feel uncomfortable and just want to be to
Reading has always been a pass time I enjoyed doing, there was just something about the fact that endless stories could be created with a combination of words and phrases. Without a doubt, Reading expands one’s knowledge on endless topics as well as expands creativity through inspiration of the various works and forms or literature. Personally, as I grew older and more curious with reading I began exploring different genres to read. My causal reading went from basic non-fiction books to reading things like
When reflecting on what made me the writer I am today, my first thought was, “Well clearly, I’m a writer because I’m a reader.” As a child, I devoured all kinds of books and spent hours on exploits in different worlds, with Harry and the gang at Hogwarts, or with the Pevensie kids in Narnia. And I thought that inevitably and gradually, reading is what led me to create my own universes and stories through writing. In fact, one of my first memories associated with writing was winning third place at a story competition in the 1st or 2nd grade (high prestige, I know). Writing is linked to reading, and to personal agency and action. I chose to read, and that led me to choose to write.
I became the literate person I am today by mostly writing, I write all the time and I do a little reading. What made me love writing was the fact I found an escape, not on an emotional level, but writing is something to help ease in my opinion. My personal writing has influenced me more than the writing I was assigned in school, I continued it outside of school as a choice of my own, once I started I never stopped. My viewpoint on reading is different than my viewpoint on writing, reading is not that bad but it can get boring. What made me feel different about reading from writing, is probably the fact, reading just takes time, like when I write, I write any and everytthing however I want. But, to read a book, I have to read it a certain way
I love to read and I read for pleasure and for ideas and quotes for my students. I use some strategies in “Feeding Your Head”, I can make it more meaningful to my creative process by having a purpose before I read. I usually read and figure out how to use knowledge of what I have read. If I start with a purpose in mind I can get more out of the books to become a creative thinker.
Over the course of first semester in college I have learned how to read, write, and learn again. That sentence may be hard to understand, since when getting to college you are already supposed to know how, but it is true. Starting off with I Stand Here Writing by Nancy Sommers, I have learned how to enhance my writing by using personal sources to combine personal and academic writing. With the help of The Mind at Work by Mike Rose I got an example of how the teachings of Sommers can be applied in writing. We ended the semester off with learning how to read again. In James Gee book Semiotic Domains: Is Playing Video Games a “Waste of Time”? I got another look at how to view literacy, which I was not aware that there was another way to look at. Literacy should not be the ability to read and write but thought of as a semiotic domain. All that is saying is that from what is written, categorizing the text to certain domain and producing and adding meaning adds depth to what is written while we also get a better understanding as well. Overall I have a gained an alternative perspective on learning and when experiencing new things, changing your mindset will lead you to success in that domain.
Reading is really great, but for me, I do not like writing as much as reading. Many people enjoy writing over reading, except I am complete opposite. When I sit down and read a good book, I can read for hours. Writing on the other hand, just does not come naturally. Books like, American Sniper, The Monuments Men, and Unbroken really got me interested in reading books about war and history. I like to write, if it is a topic I can write about. If I get an easy topic, that I can brainstorm great idea’s.
Some of my earliest memories of reading and writing took place in preschool. My former teacher, Mrs. Williams always made reading a fun and new experience which helped encourage us to read. I remember always being excited to read a new book as if I were embarking on a new adventure. My mother also encouraged me to read by reading to my brother and I at bedtime. She also gave us plenty of genres to choose from. Even though my dad did not reach much, my mom was very much interested in books about British crime mysteries. My brother, on the other hand, read anime’ comics and video game instruction pamphlets. Although reading has not been my strongest subject, the subject has always been part of my life.
I’ve always been an avid reader. When I was in elementary school, my mother would take my brother and I to the library every week to pick out books. I would take the books to school and read them all in one day. I loved reading so much that my teachers would call home and tell my parents that I was reading my library books during class instead of my textbooks. Reading has always been a major part of my life. I used to aspire to become an author. I even wanted to become an editor at one point. I used to make daily household newspapers and magazines for my entire family to read and enjoy. My strong love for reading certainly came in handy during my freshman year of high school.
Some of my favorite books, mostly Dr. Seuss, mostly got me going on my reading skills. It was easy. Word were easy to pronounce and they also had pic to help me with words I couldn’t even say. I felt important reading his books. Then, as I got older and my reading skills improved, chapter books came into play. Through my childhood I did not have it so easy. My brother passed and he mostly taught me how to correctly read. So when he left, I was stuck. I had other people in my family to help but once you get use to that favorite person helping you, you get attached. When it came to one of my other brother, it sucked. I usually get talked about constantly by him because he was older and always run his mouth when I came across a word that I didn’t know. Reading books became an easy escape at that age. It was something to do, and kept me occupied without having to talk to myself. It was also a way to read about other people and about their lives, which I think is a reason for my taste in books now. My parents and my favorite math teacher always told me that I'm a very bright individual and my accomplishments in other subjects prove that. I approached and passed science and surprisingly math. They both dealt with reading and understanding things that I needed to know. To me, writing equals to nothing more than stress and frustration. I thought was too stupid to waste effort
Remaining in comfort zone it feels good for everyone. To be truth, everyone of us are limiting ourselves to do things. Moreover, everyone has the fear to learn new things because there are afraid of failures. And also people who remain in their comfort zone are very familiar very can’t, must not and many more. Altogether, one of the factor to transform your goal into reality is by Getting Out of the Comfort Zone.
Comfort zone is securing people in a place where they feel themselves safely away from circumstances in life. The individuals can feel safe what they want, but they are damaging themselves in certain ways. They will adapt to the comfort life which, it will make it difficult for them to overcome comfort zone. This is a major problem for society because it prevents them from accomplishing goals like make important business decisions, socialize with people, denied internship opportunities feeling they are uncapable of handling certain tasks, etc. All the elements listed are taken away from people because they want to secure themselves in a safe zone where they would not tolerate with responsibilities. They are not aware they are damaging
Calm. That word doesn't refer to a lot of things in my life, and yes, my special place can be chaotic, but you still get that sense of feeling of serenity and peace and quiet; even when there are a million things going on. Picture this, walking into a huge Christmas party at your house and there are tons of people there, but only you are able to focus on the small things that not even half of the guests notice. While this is going on you feel peace through it all; and never once feel anxiety or overwhelmed because of the comfort of
