When researching information on websites, there are many credentials that should be looked at. Credentials can include looking up the author names, checking the validation of the information, looking at dates and researching the articles published. By studying the topic of nutrition, there are thousands of websites out on the web with numerous amounts of information on them. Nutrition is a very detailed topic, and readers have to be careful on what they are reading in the fact of the information being true. To show the process of evaluating websites, I have picked two different websites that are paired together. The first one was for the company called JuicePlus, and the other was title EatRight by the Academy of Dietics.

Alfred Hitchcock (1899 – 1980), the “Master of Suspense”, was a English film director, who was well known for his use of suspense and psychological elements to shock and surprise his audience. Hitchcock was known for his use of recurring themes, motifs and plot devices, such as the use of birds, hand motifs, the audience as a voyeur, mothers, blonde women, and sexuality. He was also very technical in his editing, using filming techniques such as deep focus, point of view, close up and wide, tracking shots. Montage was also a technique he used frequently in his films. He believed that by using visuals, he could convey thoughts and emotions just as well as dialogue could.

The Internet provides learners and trainers with the ability to access large amounts of information quickly and easily. Turning this information into a valuable learning resource requires organisation, planning, and careful selection of material. Trainers/Tutors should select websites that are appropriate to the needs of their learners and that support the objectives of the curriculum. Learners should be encouraged to develop a variety of analytical, searching and critical thinking skills and strategies to become confident and competent users of the Internet. Selected websites will need to be revisited regularly, however, to ensure that the content and/or the URL have not changed.

Some qualities of an effective website include easy accessibility, physical attractiveness, accuracy, and credibility. An example of an effective and successful website is the Toronto Wildlife Centre website. Toronto Wildlife Centre (https://www.torontowildlifecentre.com/) is an organization that promotes stewardship, conservation and protection of our nature. Its mission is to promote the peaceful relationship between people and wildlife by education and care of the wild life. In this report, the Toronto Wildlife Centre website is evaluated and analyzed in detail based on three criterial topics of authority, objectivity, and technicalities, to determine the overall effectiveness of the website.

The level of usability of a website is determined by how simple it is for a visitor to use and explore a website (Stokes, 2013, p. 95). Eataly is a company that sells Italian products online and in their various locations which also feature restaurants and activities that all relate to Italian food and products. The purpose of this paper is to assess the level of usability of the Eataly website and how four specific design topics, navigation, search options, professionalism, and breadcrumbs, impact the usability.

In this last semester, I have grown as a student in the area of knowledge. Before this semester I didn't know, that creating a web page was no joke. Now I have great knowledge of the different ways companies and bloggers create web pages to promote their companies. My evidence is my webpage, about a TV show called pretty little liars. This learning website, IXL, allows students to practice skills of all subjects including math, language arts, science, social studies, and Spanish. The skills and practice questions are based on a student’s grade level. IXL has skills and practice questions for students who are in Pre-K all the way through High School. Each subject and skill are aligned with common core standards based on grade level. The learning website is simple to navigate for both the student and the teacher. For example, if the student is focusing on math and they are in second grade, they would go to their grade level and click on the green link that says, “See all 275 second-grade skills”. Specialized website provide people with more specific information regards to the subject they need. This refers to governments, schools, and university education websites. Many university in the world has online learning website that helps students to do more interaction with their study online. Yet, web developer’s work hard to make websites to behave and function well. In this report I am going to examine Massey university website to find how it interact with the students. The evaluation process is going to look at the usability goals, the cognitive aspects, social and emotional issues of the website.
