Veterans are part of the foundation of our nation’s freedom. Our veterans risked everything knowing the reward would be living in a free nation. Without our veterans and all of the hard work they have done our nation would have gotten pushed around, and probably still would. Our veterans are those that stood up for our country in its time of need. These brave men and women are the the reason we are able to make our own choices and decisions. Our veterans are the reason to be thankful for getting to choose where you live, work, go to school and church, and how everyday life is spent. These people all do heroic thing things but they have never had the weight of the United States of America on the shoulders. All of these jobs require a certain type of calling for one to believe that it is what they are meant to do. Some may be risking their lives, but they are usually reaping high reward. Men and women who leave their families for long periods of time, risking their lives, fighting for our country, giving Americans a piece of mind; they do not even earn close to the same salary of a man that plays his favorite childhood sport for a living. Why should someone in the entertainment industry get a larger salary than the one who is keeping this nations safe for them. Without our veterans, and all of those who are currently serving in the military, the athletes and actors might not even get to chose their own career. Everyone in this nation has only a few people to be incredibly grateful for, veterans being one of
We honor our veterans because every day they put their lives on the line to protect our country; to preserve the freedom of this great land. Without question, without hesitation, these brave people come forth every day to help defend the 350 million people
Veterans are important because they have given us our freedom from tyrants for the past 237 years. Vets fought against the oppressors from of England during the War of Independence and the War of 1812. They continue to fight today! The estimated amount of casualties from the War of Independence was around 50,000! That means over 50,000 people died to stop England’s tyranny, in just one of two wars! In attacking Americans in the War of 1812, England sent ten times as many troops in just the last six months, than they had during all the years before. That is how much the greedy British wanted to steal the United States of America from us! Had the Veterans not stood their ground, we would all be French
Our nation past was, well, not always perfect. Without some of our veterans, our country wouldn’t be as free as it is. Veterans continue to make our country a free country, which also makes it a better place to live in. Veterans stood up for our country; whether the ones forced to go during the draft, or the ones who voluntarily go. Whether the cause, they were always ready to go and fight for the people’s freedom. We really do see how great these people are, I mean, they risked their life for ours to be
Throughout history, many veterans suffer after fighting in wars, and millions of veterans have been killed or injured. Veterans do not necessarily get the treatments they deserve without paying a price. Taking care of veterans costs a lot and health care is needed for them. They need health care after serving, in order to treat their problems and injuries. Jobs are also important to veterans because they are jobless after fighting in wars, which leads them to be homeless. It is important for people who need help to get help. As of right now, the government has attempted to help veterans, but it may not be enough.
When I was asked what Veterans Day meant to me I didn’t have a specific answer. I could give the cookie cutter answer of to honor the men and women who fought for this country’s freedoms, but I wanted to go deeper. What makes these specific people so special and worth honoring? The reason may be because of the sacrifices they made or the bravery they showed; or it be for the tough times they have gone through and still have to go through. Maybe we owe them for not being just our moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas; but for going above and beyond what anyone could ever ask of them.
Veterans Day mean a lot to me because if it wasn’t for those who fought for us, then we wouldn’t have our freedom. I honor the brave soldiers who fought for our rights, and those
Well to begin, Veterans Day is a day to celebrate all the strong and brave U.S. veterans and victims of the World War 1, who have risked their lives for our freedom and safety today. Now on November 11, we as americans publicly celebrate this holiday on the anniversary of the end of the war. It is a time to ponder and really think about how far we have came in American History, and how much we have accomplished in a world filled with so much hate and crime. Instead of war, we fight for world peace and kindness to be spread. Though we are constantly at war with other countries, without our courageous soldiers and our fearless veterans, this country would be a different place to live in. A more cruel, unsafe, and terrifying place.
The things the Veterans did for us was they served so we can have religious freedom. They also served so we can have the right to say thing. Also they served so we can have the right to bear arms.Another thing they did was they served so we can have housing of soldiers. They also served so we can have protection from unreasonable search and seizures. Lastly the Veterans served so we can have protection of rights to life, liberty and property.
Veterans are people that have battled in a war for their nation. Some tragically, aren't even alive any longer. In the the wars, veterans have stuck together as a group against the people who battled our nation. We are a united countery, and veterans have made it conceivable by securing us. Veterans Day is a day to respect every one of those people who have died for our nation. Veterans have given their time, mettle, boldness, lives, and quality for us and this nation. If not for the veterans, we likely wouldn't be here todayt. That is the way huge of an effect veterans have on this awesome nation. Therefore,The day is insufficient to demonstrate the gratefulness which is because of the incalculable number of brave men and ladies. As a human
Veterans day is one of the greatest holidays of the year. This is the holiday that honors all the brave soldiers who have fallen too give us our freedom. There are many veterans alive and dead who have served our country. There are two veterans that come to mind every time this holiday comes around. Those two veterans are my great grandfather and my grandfather.
Veterans are important to our Nation’s future because without them we would not be where we are today. They defended our rights as Americans. They make great war movies and games based on their experience overseas. They also make great body armor and gun ideas that they could have used. Without veterans we would not have the variety of weapons like we do today. Veterans are what made America. If it wasn’t for our Veterans, we would not be as safe as we are today. They put their life on the line trying to defend the United States of America and all of the people who live in it.
When veterans are respected they know that everyone are about them. I also think of them being able to have more respect than we do because they risked their lives just for us. Plus, veterans should have equal rights. But most importantly they should be able to go somewhere and have no one look down on them. In my mind veterans should be respected no matter what.
To me, a veteran is someone who served in the military. It is important for people to serve in the military. This is because we need protection from other countries who may wish to hurt us in some way. The military not only protects us as people and protect our country, but they are also protect our rights. Without our rights,we would be almost like slaves. That would not be a good thing.
America’s veterans choose their path knowing the difficulties it will hold, kowing the sacrifices they will be required to make, fully aware that they may never return, but safe in the knowledge that they are supported by their
Veterans are people who were willing to make a difference when no one else could or would. They left their families and set everything aside to serve their country despite an immense amount of difficulty and pain. Not only did veterans selflessly offer their service, but they also went through unspeakable experiences that permanently shaped them as a person. My aunt, Darrean Ziemski, is one of these veterans who sacrificed so much when she felt like she had so little. Always a strong role model to me, she has inspired me throughout my life. I have heard her story about her service in the Army before, but it never grows old because her sacrifice is timeless.
