University Vs Northern Arizona University

Over the past few years, many families have been faced with unemployment, while struggling to find steady work. In 2011 8.7% of Arizonans were officially unemployed, but in the prior year, 9.3% of illegal aliens made up the workforce. That’s 262,587 Arizonans left without jobs and 278,460 illegal aliens with jobs.

Overall, Texas A&M offers a great opportunity for me. Trying to get into this university alone will give me the opportunity to get better and try my hardest. I also love the fact that this school has a 20:1 student faculty ratio. I have always went to a small student faculty ratio school and I want to continue it. Going to a university where football is taken as serious as it is here at Arizona is an affair of it’s own. Personally, I had only experienced various high school football games, until September 3rd, 2015 when I decided to attend The University of Arizona vs. UTSA here at our home stadium. The school spirit, pride and student section, also known as the ZonaZoo, are all such huge contributions to the experience itself. Although football games are only one part of the community here at the U of A, they bring out the comradery in our student body as U of A students love to watch their school succeed against opponents.

The college I want to attend is UAFS. There are three questions I ask myself when looking for colleges are: why I want to attend this college, what classes does this college have, and where the location is and the tuition cost.

I visited the dorms, cafeteria, pool and gym. I got to observe a class in culinary arts. I was invited to stay and bake cookies. I spoke to the instructor and decided I would not go to any other vocation. As I love to bake and this was the place for me. There

Something that really sold me on the atmosphere at Illinois State University, was how many people there was and how they presented a more serene environment. On the other hand, Western Illinois University had an abundantly rigid atmosphere and I felt like it wasn’t good for me. Walking around the Illinois State University campus there were numerous people I saw that were wearing the Illinois State University colors, and that showed me they had pride in their school. By the same token, Western Illinois University did not have a large number of people who were wearing the school colors which struck me as odd because the majority of the colleges that I have visited had a myriad of people in their school colors. The atmosphere at Illinois State University seemed more active to me which I felt would give me an academic edge that could push me over the top. This was a super nice University to stay at and the food was amazing. They also have intramural sports competition, which are really fun too. They have soccer, basketball, volleyball and much more. Ever since my brother came back home from Illinois State University with many positive comments about the college I have wanted to go there. He told me about all the different things one can do there, and how easy it was to make friends. He also talked about how great all his professors were. I was instantly intrigued by all the university has to offer in activities and academics.

Numerous high school graduates have trouble choosing which university or college to go to after they finish high school. One of the first steps they’ll do is choose a couple of universities that they want to go. Then they compare universities, for example, NAU (Northern Arizona University) and ASU (Arizona State University) to see which one they prefer over the other. When high school graduates compare Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University they typically chose ASU because they offer more advantage opportunities for students that attend.

The annual cost is around $13,000 per year. Non-resident students will pay $5,500 for tuition per semester. About 94 percent of incoming undergraduates receive some form of financial aid and 65 percent receive state or local aid through grants and scholarships. There are merit based grants and scholarships that use leadership, academic performance and community services to qualify students. There are need based aid for students who lack the available financial resources.

When I first stepped foot on the campus of Western Michigan university, I felt as if I was at my new home. My tour guide, Cal, was very friendly and informative. Everyone on campus waved to our group. They were happy to see prospective students. The campus was beautiful and the living quarters were nice as well. I liked the interactions on campus and how personal the experience was. I like the small class sizes and statistics for success. I like that Western is a bigger school, but it is still quite small. I can see myself going to WMU in the future.

One of my favorite things about this university is that it is incredibly involved in football. They also have a spectacular medical school that I could attend after graduating. Ohio State is known for their medical school and also has many connections from doctors worldwide. This university is also a lot closer to home so it would be easier for me as well. The Ohio State University is about two hours away, which is a perfect distance to experience the full college life while still having the option to come home on the weekends. Ohio State is a lot cheaper than Duke as well. Their tuition is about $25,000. Also on the subject of tuition, nearly forty five percent of students graduate with no debt. The university is ranked sixteenth best public university in the nation and first in Ohio. Ohio State has an average ACT score of 28, not too off from mine. The university also has a perfect student to teacher ratio that is 19:1. OSU is number seven in studying abroad programs. This is another one of my favorite things about this university because I love traveling. Like Duke, Ohio State has many clubs and activities that students can get involved in. I was on campus visiting two former high school friends, along with my best friend who also has ‘Cuse at the top of her college list. Maybe it was the familiarity of being with friends or the atmosphere of college gameday. Whatever factors came into play, it just felt like home.

The cost of ATU’s education is a great cost. It is about $4,000 per semester. My friend that goes to ATU said that he pays around $8,000 or less per year. The application of administration for Arkansas State University has a fee of fifteen dollar. Unlike ATU, there are no application fee.This is amazing! Even though the first year going to ATU is required to live on campus, there are many great activities that students should try their first year of college. For example, he or she will get to know someone who is from a different state or different school as a roommate would be awesome. You will get to know how to get along with others and learn different culture. If I calculate the cost of attending to Arkansas Tech living in the dorm for the first year, the estimated cost would be around $12,000 per year. Springfield was very interesting to me. Going in I expected to just be yelling like a protest and not really organized how it was. The bus ride there was very long I think around four hours and it was very cold. That is all I can say about the trip that was bad, everything else to me was amazing. I got the chance to see how the capitol look, it was my first time in springfield. I also got to see painting and statues that was very detailed and signature. I also got to see how it looks to look down on people from the second floor of the capitol which to me looks amazing. I learned a lot about the budget and how it affects many other schools not just NEIU. We learned different chants to yell and had many signs to hold up while we was rallying.
