The ideas and concepts gives you knowledge how to provide quality care and work alongside parents, also it can give you guidance on how to set up an activity to help the child get the most out of it. The four sections are:

* Babies and young children are vulnerable and very dependent on their parents and carers. Therefore as well as provide and children’s learning and development it is also essential that we support the physical care, keep them safe and meet their nutritional needs.

The Pre-Birth to Three document that I work with highlights that responsive and caring adults are essential for babies and young children to develop and thrive. Practitioners must be aware of attunement which means having the skills needed to enable them to tune in to babies and young children. This determines needs by close observations of the sounds, movements, expressions and body language displayed. We already know that babies are born ready to make connections with the outside world and we must be ready to read these signs in order to develop the skills needed to interact with the wider community. All of these elements are important for a practice or program, however, the three elements I feel that are more important are; 1) creating a caring community of learners 2) Teaching to enhance development and learning 3) Planning curriculum to achieve important goals. Creating a caring community, communities are very influential for children beginning school and being immerged into a place outside the home, sometimes for the first time. It is vital to create a safe and warm environment for children where they can learn social skills and how to treat others. Teaching to enhance development and learning is a happy mixture of adult-guided and child-guided but has the teacher being the one in charge and responsible for directing and supporting the child. Planning curriculum to achieve important goals, programs must have a curriculum based on goals that are significant for children development. Lakeridge UMC accomplishes these three guidelines by incorporating play with peers and academics and staffing caring teachers. This program also gives its kids some freedom by not having to ask to go to the bathroom but just going, instead of interrupting the class which also fulfills creating a caring community guideline. Over the past two weeks I have acquired 5 new schools. All of which are located in District 15. The DOE’s PreK For All program begins this school year, and thankfully, I was able to have the District 15 PreK director agree to implement the Sanford Harmony Program at her four sites. P.S. 676 has also agreed to implement during the 2015-2016 school year. I am in the process of rescheduling trainings that’s were scheduled during the first two weeks of school, due to the holidays. My first public school training on the new material will he held on 9/14/15. I am looking forward to trying out our new training PowerPoint and material.

It has been shown that the relationships infants develop early on in life have lasting effects on their identity and behavior. Extensive research has indicated that the relationship between an infant and its caregivers is particularly important.

They learn to trust that their needs will be met, or that they will not. The emotional domain includes the infant’s perception of herself and of herself in relation to others.”(Blackboard, 2013). The most important thing a caregiver can do to help a toddler’s emotional development is to create a safe and loving environment for the toddler to learn in. Caregivers should understand that each toddler is different and has different needs. Attending to each individual child in a well-organized and inviting learning environment is essential during his stage early childhood development.

Cleanliness. This can be a crucial subject with infants. Everything they use should be unbroken scrupriously clean. This includes bottles, soft and plastic toys, high chairs and bedding. Once it appears as if all chores ar done and there's nothing left to try to, there's continually one thing else to be cleansed.

Infancy need love and affection which help them to feel confident and secure. They need praise, encouragement and recognition. They also need to feel secure in other to be in a safe place. They need someone to care
