The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was an award winning program that delivered top headline news in a more realistic way. Throughout time, humorists have been able to pull off a phenomenon, which allows for others to laugh about sensitive, stressful topics. With talent, humorists are able to captivate positive emotion from their audience and allow for society to see delicate issues in an unbiased view. Although humorists are commonly seen as people who only intend to entertain, humorists purposefully say things through their work that allow for hard issues to be spoken or illustrated.

Kevin Hart was born on July 6, 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is known for being a comedian doing stand-up comedy and for being an actor. He was raised by his mother, Nancy, and is the youngest of two boys. His father, Henry Hart, battled with cocaine addiction and was in and out of jail, so he was rarely around during Kevin Hart’s childhood. However, since Kevin’s childhood, his father has cleaned himself up and the two of them have reconnected. Kevin Hart took to comedy as a way to relieve himself from all of his pain that he endured during his childhood. He used humor as a coping mechanism to make everyone laugh about the situations that he has been through. “The jokes,” he has said on his stand-up, “come from a real experience” (biography.com editors). As a kid, he was really into stand-up comedy and comedians. Hart named Chris Tucker and J.B. Smoove as the most influential comedians to him. Soon after he graduated from high school, he had begun to work as a stand-up comedian. He traveled to New York City, Brockton, Massachusetts and Los Angeles. He started off doing stand-up comedy in small clubs with his stage name as ‘Lil’ Kev the Bastard’. He won several amateur stand-up performances, which encouraged him to perform in clubs around the country. ABC gave Hart his own sitcom called The Big House, which was cancelled after only six episodes. Hart did not sit with that loss, instead he rebounded quickly. Recently Comedian Jim Jefferies, has received a lot of backlash for a joke made in his latest comedy special, Currently on Netflix, “Freedumb”. At the very start of the Special, Jim does a segment on The Bill Cosby rape allegations in late 2014. He has received massive backlash for this segment, even though he also claimed that he is an entertainer and that his jokes shouldn’t mean to be taken seriously. Even though he gave this disclaimer, people have stopped going to his shows and started protesting him, claiming that he can’t joke about rape.

The whole reason Jon does this is because he wants to have people talk and say positive thing about him and for people to like his comedy. Comedy for him is probably entertaining and he likes to have fun will doing things. To me comedy is very funny and I like having a laugh here and there to you know entertain myself. Saturday Night Live celebrated its 40th anniversary in style last season. Sure, the three-and-a-half-hour special welcoming back alums and esteemed guests was entertaining, but the real celebration should be because of its talented cast. SNL often gets a bad rap because people are partial to "their" version of the show. Never judge a book by its cover. That quote basically sums up my whole experience of this Kennesaw State event. So it was a boring night and my friend Arius and I were on twitter tweeting, when we saw the flyer for the comedian. The flyer discussed how Jay Pharoah was coming to Kennesaw State for a show. Arius said “Oh my God, we have to go! This guy is funny and he is always on Saturday Night Live.” While she is having over there having a heart attack, I’m sitting there trying to figure out who this guy is. I don’t watch Saturday Night Live and the picture of him on the flyer looked corny. I doubted him, but I went anyway. I found out that he was actually hilarious.

For the last 20 years, literally my entire adult life, I 've been a diehard fan of late night talk show host Conan O 'Brien.
