The Versailles Treaty was when the Big Four countries met together to see what could be done to help end the war and for it not to happen again. These Big Four countries were the ones that controlled the negotiations and made the decisions, people could make suggestions, but it was up to those countries. These Big Four countries were Britain, France, Italy, and the United States. These states were trying to get their wishes to come reality, and hopefully not starting another war. This leading to Germany becoming very weak and without a way to fight for a very long time, which was about 20 years. The Treaty of Versailles was actually a very big contribution for starting World War II. The Treaty of Versailles was a large contribution for World War II because Italy wanted more land. A lot of Germany’s land was taken from them and some was given to Italy and the other was used to create Poland. In Document A, it shows how much land that Germany has lost and their new border line and old border line before and after WWI. Even though it wasn’t their fault that the war started, the Big Four countries made them sign something that claimed it was their fault and they admitted it. In Document C, it says that Germany was forced to undertake the responsibility for all the damage that was done to the Allies. This made Germany very mad because they also had loses and they didn’t start the war in the first place. In Document D, it states that Germany had to take full blame and accept the consequences, also, that Germans saw the Treaty of Versailles as an evil thing and that it needed to be destroyed, this starting the Nazi party and for Hitler to rise in his power for all the countries to look at Germany as something else, more powerful, and for the countries to fear
