The Founding Fathers
Most Americans know who the founding fathers are. But, not many know what they have done for us and how hard they have worked to be a part of the American Revolution. Subconsciously, each of these men had a great impact on the revolution that started this country. Thomas Jefferson loved education and was well known for being the true author of the Declaration of Independence and for his wisdom. Benjamin Franklin, respectfully known as a diplomat, was also known as a great inventor, printer, and writer. Thomas Paine was a spectacular journalist who is best known for his anonymous pamphlet called “Common Sense.” Through these great men, our country rose.
Thomas Jefferson played a huge role in our history. He was an extremely intelligent and noble man. Being the author of the Declaration of Independence and Americas third president, he is best known as “the man of the people” (Listabuzz). If it was not for Thomas Jefferson, this country would not be independent from England. Jefferson continued his life in the estates his father left him after he passed away and was a highly educated man who loved and cherished books. According to Listabuzz, British troops attacked the Library of Congress in 1814 and burned all of the books. Because Jefferson loved books so much, he offered to replace them with books from his own personal library. So, one year later he did what he promised and gave the library 6,587
These men, Hamilton, Burr, Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, Adams, and Madison, were important contributors to development of our country in many ways. Hamilton had tried to push policies, funding and assumption, in order to fix America’s debt problem with foreign and domestic debt and restoring America’s credit with European bankers. His policy for funding was passed, which also gave bonds that were given to soldiers but were now in rich peoples’ hands, credit. Burr was known as the father of modern political campaigning, as he helped drum up support for Jefferson during their run for the presidency. He is best remembered as a great president and as the author of the Declaration of Independence. He also won lasting fame as a diplomat, a political thinker, and a founder of the Democratic Party. Jefferson's interests and talents covered an amazing range. He became one of the leading American architects of his time and designed the Virginia Capitol, the University of Virginia, and his own home, Monticello. He greatly appreciated art and music and tried to encourage their advancement in the United States. He arranged for the famous French sculptor Jean Houdon to come to America to make a statue of George Washington. Jefferson also posed for Houdon and for the famous American portrait painter Gilbert Stuart.
The enlightenment was a European movement during the 17th and 18th centuries. The enlightenment wasn’t a physical movement; however, it was an intellectual movement. Most of the ideas centered around authority and legitimacy. Later these ideas may have transformed into liberty, progress, tolerance, fraternity, constitutional government, and separation of church and state. The enlightenment was valued greatly, considering that it showed people how to think scientifically, and it also let the world understand different scientific processes. John Locke influenced Thomas Jefferson with these enlightenment writings by helping him write the Declaration of Independence because of Locke showing Jefferson that people were born with natural rights.
As our nation’s third president, first secretary of state and author Thomas Jefferson has been apprehended as a man that had a major impact on American History. Thomas Jefferson was an influential person that changed America for the best. His actions created a major change in the U.S. and still continue to change America Today. Thomas Jefferson had reasons for what he was trying to accomplish and he knew it would benefit America in the future. I believe Thomas Jefferson had a major impact on American history by purchasing the Louisiana Territory, writing the Declaration Of Independents and Passing the statute of Religious Freedom.
Thomas Jefferson was an American statesman, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence. He later served as the third President of the United States from 1801 to 1909. Thomas Jefferson was the author of United States, and the Statute of Virginia of Religious freedom. President Jefferson was the founder of the University of Virginia. As a public official,historian,philosopher,and plantation owner, he served his country for over five decades.

He was nicknamed “The Father of His Country” for his contributions and leadership during the American Revolution. Some could mention the second President of the United States, John Adams, who also led in persuading the Continental Congress to declare America’s independence from Great Britain, while others could also mention Thomas Jefferson, who was the third President of the United States and the author of the United States Constitution.
In the years to come, Jefferson’s striking writings influenced the French Revolution of 1789. He would eventually ascribe himself the status of being the first Secretary of State, the second Vice President, and the third President of the United States; where he would help shape America into the prosperous structure of a country it is today. Thomas Jefferson is the single most influential figure in U.S. history for his essential lead in creating a new powerful country and his reforms in American policy.

He played a key role in the politics surrounding the American Revolution, but he also had various other accomplishments. Jefferson was also associated with the Enlightenment era. Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 and died on July 4, 1826. He lived in Virginia, where he built his estate, Monticello.
Thomas Jefferson was an essential part of our history, particularly taken into the fact that he was one of our first presidents. While this gentleman did establish multiple things, one great achievement that he did earn was executing as well as putting into action the Louisiana purchase.
Thomas Jefferson and Geroge Washington played a large role in the stability of the government. George Washington was well respected among the public, which is why he was elected as the first president of America after the U.S. had officially become independent from Britain. Moreover, Thomas Jefferson was also a well-respected leader and believed in economic equality for everyone. Overall they both helped shape America for the better in the ways they led the country throughout their presidency. Washington was a man of character and rarely used force to settle issues.
Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton were completely at odds in their vision on how America was to develop. Hamilton wanted to concentrate power in a centralized federal government with limited access and Jefferson wished to diffuse it among all the eligible freemen of the time. Alexander Hamilton feared anarchy and distrusted popular rule while Jefferson feared tyranny and thought in terms of liberty and freedom.

Thomas Jefferson changed America in many ways back in the day. A lot of people consider him a great president and he’s famous for many issues he solved.
