The problem of evil is the notion that, how can an all-good, all-powerful, all-loving God exists when evil seems to exist also. The problem of evil also gives way to the notion that if hell exists then God must be evil for sending anyone there. I believe both of these ideas that God can exist while there is evil and God is not evil for sending anyone to hell. I believe hell exists in light of the idea that God is holy and just. The larger is how anyone can go to heaven. I will try to answer the problem of evil with regards to the problem of heaven and hell. We are all different and this idea is at the heart of cultural relativism. When we start to compare ourselves to other people we do ourselves a disservice because we do not take in account the mantle of characteristics about that person that they did not choose. Is it fair that one person was born into a family in Zimbabwe where they struggle to get a meal each day, rather than being born into a wealthy family in America? Is it fair that one person was born with one arm and the other person was not? I can go on and on but the point is what about these peoples circumstances did they choose? It does not take long for us to realize that life is not fair at all in comparison to each other. This lets us see how no one has the right to judge anyone. Now who do we say is responsible for all this? If we look at a drawing and see that one person is drawn different than the other we are going to question the artist. The artist is responsible for the art work. So who is responsible for human beings? All eyes point to God. This is the answer to the problem of evil. Evil is not something that’s create, it is something that is just the opposite of what God is. When God gave us libertarian freedom, it was as if someone was committing suicide to the birth of evil. You do not get evil if you do not have libertarian freedom. The instance that God created human beings with libertarian freedom was when evil came into the picture.
