Fully redesigned for 2014, the Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover sport utility vehicle with standard seating for five or available seating for seven. Now in its second generation, the Rogue offers standard front-wheel drive with available all-wheel drive and can be had in one of three trim levels. Product Overview, Test Model Nissan arrived late to the compact SUV market, having jumped in as far more established models such as the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape dominated the segment. But its late entry and subsequent update have made this model a strong competitor. It is also a model offering an optional third row seat as part of a SV edition family package ($540) upgrade that brings in run-flat tires as well. Right off, I can’t recommend the package for the two reasons given as the third row offers only token room and the run flats mean there is no spare tire to be had. Indeed, it was an SV edition with that package and front-wheel drive that served as my weekly driver. Priced from $24,490, upgrades such as roof rail cross bars ($290) and an SV premium package ($1,500) put this 2015 model’s final price at $28,170. Shop for a 2016 edition and you’ll find the Rogue S priced from $23,140, the SV from $24,590, and the SL priced from $28,540. Add $1,350 to the price if you choose all-wheel drive. By the Numbers The Nissan Rogue sits on a 106.5-inch wheelbase and measures 182.3 inches long by 72.4 inches wide by 66.3 inches tall. In the Nissan line up, the Rogue sits
Beginning in 2007, Chevrolet rolled out a new audio system, wheel packages, and a new steering wheel. Additional trim shuffling took place in 2008. The SS coupe and SS sedan were renamed the Sport coupe and the Sport sedan, respectively. Previous optional equipment, including an MP3 player, XM radio, and side impact airbags were now standard. A new stability control system was introduced.
A $2,270 in essential options is a must if you are really after the all American Sports car: 17-inch alloy wheels with high performance rubber, black leather sport bucket seats, stereo upgrade, all speed traction control (defeatable), and convenience package. The grand-total including destination is a reasonable $25,140.

A 2015 Nissan Rogue SV FWD edition was a recent weekly test vehicle, a five-passenger SUV with an optional third-row seat. That two-person seat is part of a $940 SV Family Package, one that curiously includes run-flat tires.

Nissan Motor Co. made their car with one thing in mind and that is to have it as the lowest prices as possible for the economy. During the 1950s Nissan Motor notice the growing trend for low price economy cars. As a result, they decided to create a second family car and started shipping them to a Imported Motor Car Show in America. Although they did not stand a chance against the already established automobile companies that existed in America, but, it did capture the attention of American Automobile consumers. Along with other Japanese manufacturers, Nissan was successfully competing on quality, reliability and fuel efficiency. By 1991, Nissan was operating very profitably, producing four of the top ten cars in the world.Nissan management throughout the 1990s, however, had displayed a tendency to emphasize short term market share growth, rather than profitability or long-term strategic success. Nissan was very well known for its advanced engineering and technology, plant productivity, and quality management. During the previous decade, Nissan’s designs had not reflected customer opinion because they assumed that most customers preferred to buy good quality cars rather than stylish, innovative cars. Instead of reinvesting in new product designs as other competitors did, Nissan managers seemed content to continue to harvest the success of proven designs. They tended to put retained earnings into equity of other companies, often suppliers, and into real-estate investments, as part of the Japanese business custom of keiretsu investing. Through these equity stakes in other companies, Ghosn’s predecessors (and Japanese business leaders in general) believed that loyalty and cooperation were fostered between members of the value chain within their keiretsu.
